[UMGB] Informe Mision NC/C Vs TUR (eR día 1437)

Transcurría la tarde del día Jueves 27 de Octubre, mientras los Soldados de la UMGB se encontraban en los campos de entrenamiento supervisados por los Capitanes de Regimiento, cuando se recibe una llamada de parte de un Funcionario Chipriota, donde nos comunicaba que en las próximas horas se libraría una batalla de conquista por parte de Turquía sobre territorio de Chipre, mas precisamente en Northern Cyprus (NC).

(Passed the evening of Thursday October 27, while UMGB Soldiers were in training camps supervised by the Captains of the Regiment, when receiving a call from an Officer Cyprus, where we reported that in the coming hours a battle would be waged for conquest by Turkey on Cyprus territory, more precisely in Northern Cyprus (NC).

Se llamo a una reunión por parte del Estado Mayor de la UMGB para decidir si participaríamos en aquella batalla y pelear contra Turquía ya que se mantienen buenas relaciones con ellos. Luego de unas horas la decisión fue apoyar a Chipre ya que se tiene alianza con ellos y era para defender una región originaria de la mencionada isla.-

(Call a meeting by the staff of the UMGB to decide if they would participate in that battle and fight against Turkey as maintaining good relationships with them. After a few hours the decision was to support Cyprus as it has an alliance with them and was to defend a source region of that island.-)



Se recolectó información del lugar, se prepararon los pertrechos y emprendimos viaje sin escala hacia Northern Cyprus, lugar en donde tomamos posición para la defensa de una base de comunicaciones y sus alrededores junto a Soldados de Chipre y Aliados.

(Location information was collected, prepared the supplies and started non-stop trip to Northern Cyprus, a place where we position for the defense of a communications base and its surroundings along with Cyprus and Allied soldiers.)



Mientras se desarrollaba el combate, un gran número de tropas turcas se abalanzaba sobre las zonas aledañas a defender. Se logro hacer frente durante una gran cantidad de horas y ante la aguerrida defensa y donde la batalla era bastante equilibrada, es que Turquía reúne en el puerto de Mediterranean Coast of Turkey un numeroso Ejercito Naval que zarpa en dirección hacia las costas de NC.

(While developing the combat, a large number of Turkish troops on the surrounding areas rushed to defend. Con el transcurso de las horas se sufre un gran desgaste y el arribo incesante de tropas enemigas logro controlar a los Soldados Aliados designados a la defensa de las costas y ello supuso un duro golpe para la moral. No obstante seguían llegando apoyo defensivo y los tanques y bazookas utilizadas parecían no ser suficientes para frenar la embestida.

El gran desgaste se hizo notar y ante la inminencia de la derrota, los responsables de Chipre deciden emprender la retirada hacia Southern Cyprus para reabastecernos y resistir allí si es que Turquía decidiera continuar con el ataque.-

(The high wear was noted and the imminence of defeat, the leaders of Cyprus decided to retreat to Southern Cyprus to refuel and stand there if Turkey decides to continue the attack.-)

Si bien cada Soldado de la Unidad Militar "Gral Belgrano" dio lo mejor de sí, no fue suficiente para lograr la victoria de Chipre. No obstante les dejo la siguiente frase de otro gran proser Argentino:
