[UK-Reform]Next wave

Day 2,134, 05:19 Published in United Kingdom Belgium by mittekemuis

Greetings,

First week in my term as PP has passed and I have not much to show for in terms of numbers. We gain one we lose one so we keep stable at 70 members. In terms of being able to participate in the congress election that isn’t a disaster. We still hold 5th place so we have a few people who can in to congress providing you guys cast your votes. Keep an eye out for an article in a couple of days listing candidates.

In today's article I will be talking about the benefits of at least joining the forum and how you can avoid spending more time on it then necessary.

The advantages of using the forum
More information about your country
Not all thing that go on in our country is talked about ingame or in the media.

Easier to become involved in the political side of the game
For me and many other active eUK players an absolute minimum to try and at least be semi-active in your own private party section. Of course participating in general discussions is and even bigger plus.

Getting to know your fellow countrymen
Erepublik is a community game where you can meet and greet players from all over the world.
The eUK has a semi-large gaming group who find each other on the forum to exchange game knowledge and use the forum to find people to start new games.

Forum use for lazy players like me or players with little time to spend.
Before you can do anything on the forum you have to register. A pro tip, use your in-game name to log in the forum as well. You know, we are talking little time and lazy here, so it is much easier if I don’t have to go wondering “who is this player”.

The first topic you see when you open the forum is forum announcements and IRC. I recommend you open this atleast once and acknowledge it is there.

Once you have done that you scroll down and ignore all else until you see

It only takes you a minute to write “Can I get access to UK-Reform private forum?” One of the forum administrators will take care of that asap.

So now you have done that, you are set to go!
What I do when I check the forum is be very selective in what I read. This forum gives you that option. If you look in the right hand corner you will see a few possibilities I am showing you the one I use.

Just skim through and pick out the ones you want to read, than mark that topic as read.

My advice as a first time user would be just that. Mark all topics as read and go from there. That way you stay on top of things in the present.

All I can say now is try it!

Yours truly,
