Great Post. I would expect more aggressive Foreign Policy in terms of targeting weak countries and colonize them for good. I want to see Ireland not just a country but as an Empire.

You need a population of thousands to overcome the FF hunters that will start and win the RWs. It has nothing to do with politics. Small nations are easy prey for FFs as soon as they occupy a region anywhere. It would take a lot of military support from larger nations, or very expensive COs for a small country to hold any region. There is no way for a country to block RW sponsorship.

What you need is a country with 4-6 thousand people... not eIreland with a couple hundred.

You're not grasping what I said. There are reasons we cannot hold an occupation that have nothing to do with politics. You can socially engineer diplomacy. But, you cannot socially engineer a defense against the FF hunters that do not care about politics. Your group of 20-30 people will not make eIreland big enough to hold the line. The CO costs to attract enough damage would require a large country to support that kind of funding.

You have a perspective on this game that does not see the reality of eIreland's position. We fight above our weight class, but we are not the powerhouse you would need to back up the kind of plans you are making.

Players that want to attack, and invade, and conquer will be eternally frustrated in eIreland. We simply cannot facilitate that kind of success. Sure, I took London, but we couldn't keep any regions occupied. Countries like eCan have always provided a good home for more Hawk-ish players from eIreland. The larger population means they have far more military options available to them. eIreland has to be pragmatic, because any aggressive actions usually end in us being wiped. The offense military successes of eIreland are so temporary. Our great victories are successful defenses, or RW maneuvers.

Mirj, if you truly have these aspirations for eIreland, then your number one priority is going to need to be a population boom that numbers in the thousands. That would cost far more RL advertising dollars than I think you are willing to spend. But, I wish you good luck in that effort, it would be awesome to see eIreland grow like that.

There's actually no Supreme Commander Irish President can elect. Seanan is currently Military Commander, every country sends one MC to Aurora. I am Supreme Commander of Aurora. SC is elected by all Aurora's members Presidents 🙂
