[Ten4CP] Why the King?

Day 2,203, 04:59 Published in South Africa USA by GoneAndGone

Hello everyone. As I’m sure by now, you have all seen the announcement of my candidacy for the presidency of eSouth Africa. If not, go give it a read; it’s pretty short, you can crank it out during your afternoon tea.

However, I never really touched upon my plan for this term in that article. I assure you it wasn’t because I’m some planless slug, but rather, there’s a few things we must talk about before we go towards my approach for this term should I win.

Long ago, when eSA was at its prime, it wasn’t a country of South Africans. In fact, I would be correct in saying that eSA was at one of its lowest points when the country was of a singular native base. But no, when eSA was at its prime in V1, when we fought tooth and nail, had great politics, a strong military and great allies, eSA was a well blended melting pot. There was a strong core of South Africans here, that is true, but there was also a large group of Americans, a large group of Poles, and then smaller pockets of other people. Yet, despite these differences, we worked together day in, day out for the good of the country and our allies.

If we look at eSA today, we have a very similar set up. There’s a strong core of South Africans - both new folks and those of the old guard - a large group of Turkish immigrants and Macedonian immigrants; there are then pockets of other people, whether they be Swedish, American, what have you. The point is, we’re all currently segregated into these groups which are constantly vying for the competitive and political advantage. We use race to justify these fights, we use words like “PTO” that quite frankly, very few people in this country know what it means. And while I sit on my throne, I can’t say I am above this petty bickering. I’d be ignorant and frankly wrong if I even tried to say I wasn’t part of this.

But it’s time for a new start. And that’s my first goal for the term; to unite these different groups into a functioning country. I’ve done it before on numerous occasions; In eSA, I cut the shit and made Brazil and South Africa friends; in the eUS, I got Brazil and the United States’ biggest enemies in Spain in Poland united under one banner. I then re-achieved these when we were joining CoT, as I needed to get former friends in Chile and Bulgaria to accept us, and mortal enemies in Macedonia and Indonesia to be willing to accept us. Look at those events; the impossible was made possible, and I headed all of them.

So what’s my secret? Respect.

I’m sure many of you are surprised to hear that I, the self-proclaimed king of eSA to speak on respect, but it’s true. We cannot work together, unless we respect each other. This doesn’t mean lovey-dovey agree on everything; nah, fuck that. I’m Tenshibo, you think I agreed with all that the people I have dealt with say? Nah, you know I’m not about that life. However, I made sure to not let that get in the way of how I treated them. And we can’t let our difference in opinions affect how we treat each other in this country either.

With that in mind, I wish to make a bold move;

To the old guard of eSA, and the South Africans of whom I’ve offended with my language and malicious remarks, I’m sorry.

To the Turks and Macedonians, of whom I’ve offended with my racism and bigotry, with my language and malicious remarks, with my troll attacks and photoshops, I apologise.

To the Lazokrats, I cannot today say I’m sorry to you, as you seem to actually be trying to cause harm to the country. To you I say let’s work this out. If I’m elected, let’s sit this down and discuss how our two communities - eSA and the Lazos - can better work together as one cohesive unit. So today, in exchange of an apology, I offer a promise; I will not treat you with the disrespect and apprehensiveness that past administrations and leaders have used. I will work with you guys to find a solution to our two groups’ issues that is amiable for both of us so we may co-exist.

This term will be about making a fresh start for our country, and this is simply the first step.

For years now I’ve written about the ineffectiveness of our military system. Anyone who has spent time in foreign affairs knows that you can’t have global presence unless you military can be felt; you don’t need to do damage in terms of Poland and Serbia, but you must be able to move walls, and coordinate damage. Can eSA do this? No, not really. In fact, I’m not even sure eSA has a true military. The eSAAF has zero presence, and the government-affiliated MUs are so fragmented that they may as well be individuals with guns not fighting units.

In the first week of the term, I will be meeting with the MUs to discuss how to coordinate our damage. I have a few ideas for this which shall be discussed, but I’d like to make it clear that I respect the individuality and identities of the units, and my ideas will allow them to keep both of those things while simultaneously ensuring that damage is coordinated and sent where needed. You’ll likely see the actualization of this around day seven or eight of the term should I be elected. When these ideas come together, our military structure with be at the efficient level needed to properly support of foreign affairs and protect the sovereignty of our nation.

Now, there’s a large discussion on the forums regarding what we should do about Argentina and other foreign affairs related ideas.

Let me first make a few statements. In today’s game there is no reason to allow another nation to own our regions. Whether they be Indonesia, Argentina, Brazil, or a country on our grounds via Air-Strike, the current game makes it nigh impossible for a country to hold regions for an extended period of time. As of me writing this article, South Africa has seven of nine original regions. This isn’t because of some great, magnificent effort on our part to free ourselves; it’s because game mechanics finally gave us a break. We can use this to our advance. We can use this to decide our own destiny.

Let me say that again; we can decide our own destiny. For the first time in nearly four years, eSA can make its own path. If this means fighting directly, assisting via MPPs, or simply resecuring our interior and building our treasury via optional - not forced -renting, we decide.

I just mentioned optional rent. Let me make a comment on that: If we can rent regions, we should. But on our terms, under conditions advantageous to both us, and our producers. And, I’ll only do it under one condition: a people’s poll. It’s never been a secret I hate congress, but my opinion on it is well placed; in a country as small as eSA, congress isn’t a better alternative to the people, as a census vote is easily done. So, if we were to rent regions, I would bring the vote to the entirety of the country, and to ensure it is done properly, would manage it myself. I won’t force the people to lose out because our eight active congressmen decided to make a decision; I will make sure the country works by the people, for the people.

That is all I have for today. But before I go, let me first encourage you to fill out my cabinet application. I only have two positions filled, and greatly want to see some new blood. And second, vote!!!! eSA is doing a forum poll to determine who will be the official candidate. It’s only open for 24hours, so vote now!!! You vote will truly make a difference. Stop reading. Go. Now!
