TDP has archieved many milestones since it entered 2012. It has since then become the biggest party in the eNetherlands, even having one of it's members, NoTie112, elected as president of our eNation, the highest political position available! We've left a footprint on every section of the eNetherlands. Only the congress is left to be swept away by our growing and succesful movement. We have proven to endure and exceed the '15 minutes of fame', introducing many new members to politics and the Dutch community in general.

Those facts combined with our recent name change to 'The Dutch Progressives' means we have to prove ourselves once again by battling bureaucracy and introducing new reforms, which will weaken corruption, but will strengthen the efficiency within our eCountry. Vote for a progressive party who comes up with new ideas and seeks for out of the box solutions.

We've thus decided to focus on the following issues:
*Military Council
*Poland
*Coaching & Recruitment
*International vision/English Language
*Bureaucracy



Issue 1: Military Council
A Military Council has been installed, but this is only nominal. In reality, the Council only holds a few titles, while the Ministry of Defense continues it's usual tasks, like nothing changed. There have been improvement during the current government, but it will remain a lengthy process to turn our non-existing military into one of the most coördinated on the eGlobe! The Military Council needs to be properly set up, before any other radical changes in Defense can be made.

We do believe the Military Council should not be completly independent from the government, but the Country President and the Minister of Defense should remain end responsible and should be able to steer the Military Council in a certain direction. We opt for a semi-independent Military Council; The generals will have a say over Defense affairs, without monthly changes and other political hazzles, but both the government and congress will be able to interfer, when needed.

Since the beginning of our existance, we've been fighting for the recognation of private military units. In our opinion, the realization of a Military Council offers us a chance to look once again to the possibilies of involving private military units within the state army hierarchy.



Issue 2: Poland
The former government has succesfully liberated our country from Polish forces, but the danger is still looming over our langs. Poland continously is attacking our neighbour Germany and wants revenge on both them and us, for our recent freedom fights. Germany is just barely holding, our friendly buffer to the Polish nation might fall any day.

We do not want to sit and watch Poland eventually border our country once again. We'll need to prioritize the security of Germany as much as ours. We call our the current and coming government to put German battles against Poland as priority, and to improve cooperation with not only our German allies, but also with EDEN & Terra to make the survival of our country a reality.



Issue 3: Recruitment & Coachment
Discussions about how the government deals with the Recruitment & Coaching policy turn up each and every month and prove that our current thoughts about Recruitment & Coaching don't make any sense at all! We don't think that articles will help our newer players in any way, as those are usually only read by the more experienced players; once players have found about the media section they are aready experienced enough to play eRepublik. We also do not agree on continued messaging new players by 'coaches'. The different political parties and military units already are capable enough of introducing newer players to our game. Not only will this evade double work, it also introduces the newer players to the political or military stage and indirectly to our community.

We want a radically other policy. We insists on having an independent Recruitment & Coaching team, which won't be harazzed by monthly governmental changes and fancy plans. Newer players will be offered only one time a portal where they can find all eRepublik info they desire, instead of being spammed by different coaches. For the rest of the game, the team will stay passive; they'll help newer players once they've showed they actually do want help. This helps filtering the motivated players from the unmotivated one and will give us a more healthy population; we'd rather have 500 players which are active, than having 1000 and losing 200 in a mere week!



Issue 4: International Vision
Our eNation is famous for it's openness to foreigners. We've had many foreigners within our borders indeed. They've fulfilled positions in congress, parties and governments. This wouldn't be possible without our lenient policies regarding the use of the English language. The last months however, most foreigners have left our country, feeling treatened by Dutch nationalism. We want to remain with the status quo, which means English as main language and Dutch as optional second.

We do defend the rights of foreigners within our country, but that does not mean our borders will be open wide for everyone. We want the government having extensive control of the Immigration Office, instead of congressmembers dictating immigration policy, to defend ourselves from the PTO dangers and alerts from all around the world.



Issue 5: Bureaucracy
Much has been improved during current government regarding the battle against bureaucracy. The rather forced upon Culture Newspaper and Government Updates have either been removed or transformed into something more useful. We also to remove the duty of government to publish in both English and Dutch. In our opinion English will do, except in the cases of articles/messages meant for our younger players. This attitude we also want to apply on the congress; abolish the different artificial limitations, which only lengthen certain processes and stimulate never-ending and non-concluding debates.
