Dear readers, I know: i'm in delay. And I won't talk too much.
I had some nice suggestions following last article, but i wasn't able to implement them. So, here you are the delayed update of the "Alliances of the eWorld".
(last article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2266955/1/20)

In day 2012, the number of MPPs grew from its historical low: 286 MPPs, 30 MPPs more than in day 2021.
That's a consequence of the war that broke out between CoT and TWO countries: you may expect a drop on the number of MPPs when old allies start a war among themselves (because common MPPs are cancelled after an attack), but that's false: war made alliances more define😛 the number of inter-alliance MPPs diminished, but the number of intra-alliance MPPs grew a lot more.

This was last week situation, day 2012:

Legend:
CoT countries in light blue. TWO countries in violet. The Non-Aligned Nations in brown.
EDEN in dark green. Asgard in yellow.
Ex-EDEN in orange. Ex-TERRA in light green. Ex-CTRL in red.
(here: the legend of the labels. For Serbia the old label "CS" is used by eRepublik)

Last week, it was difficult to recognize a left-right axis: we could recognize a CoT cluster, a TWO cluster, a NaN cluster, an Asgard cluster and a dismembered ex-EDEN cluster.

A different situation in day 2021, as the situation is more define😛

Legend:
CoT countries in light blue. TWO countries in violet. The Non-Aligned Nations in brown.
EDEN in dark green. Asgard in yellow.
Ex-EDEN in orange. Ex-TERRA in light green. Ex-CTRL in red.

On the left, CoT countries with Asgard, with also some strong neutral countries like Croatia (ex-EDEN) and Brazil (ex-CTRL)

On the right, TWO countries with the majority of ex-EDEN countries, and NaN countries

7 Countries are without MPPs: Denmark (in union with Germany), Egypt, North Korea, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands (ex-EDEN) and Saudi Arabia (NaN)

The software recognized three clusters of Nations:(they were four last week!) a CoT centered (blue), a TWO centered (red) and an ex-EDEN centered (green) cluster.

You may see how Asgard countries as much as ex-EDEN countries like Croatia, Bosnia and Albania joined the CoT cluster. This is mainly due to the USA-Serbian war and the Baltic states-Russian war. This war made these ex-EDEN-aligned countries to sever their ties with the ex-EDEN countries that are now aligned with TWO.

Interestingly, in CoT two subclusters may be identifie😛 on the top a "New-CoT" cluster, centered around the USA, which includes Russia, Germany, and a lot of other non-CoT countries (Asgard, Croatia, France, Italy); on the bottom a "Old-CoT" cluster, centered around Chile and Macedonia, which shares ties with TWO countries. Bulgaria in the middle.

On the right, the TWO cluster now includes Romania and CUA countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia). Despite that, ex-EDEN countries like Greece, Turkey and mostly China, continue to share stronger relations among themselves and with the NaN countries.
China seems to stay neutral in this new re-alignment of nations.

Of particular interest is the position of Spain, a TWO country, which shares a lot of MPPs with the "Old-CoT" subcluster, and it constitutes its own subcluster inside TWO.

Despite now a left-right axis is recognizable, we are far from the polarization that characterized the CoTWO-EDEN war.
At the apex of the CoTWO War, only 5 MPPs linked the two sides: 3 Russian-Asgard MPPs, the USA-Albanian MPP and the Malaysian-Chinese MPP.
