[TBD] PP's half-term report

Day 2,143, 04:05 Published in Belgium Turkey by e Vladimir

Hello people of eBelgium and hello members of The Belgian Dream,

I will put a word or two here about my thoughts on the last Congress Elections, accent put on the success of TBD on these elections, about the entering of P.A.N.D.A. party in Top5 and our position for the upcoming Presidential Elections. This article can be seen as a report of some sort having passed the half-term point of my mandate as a Party President. Plus, having seen the lack of articles in the Top News feed, I decided to publish this article...

1.0 Congress Elections Sept/Oct 2013

1.0.1 The Belgian Dream success on the elections

The last Congress Elections saw our party The Belgian Dream sit on top of the list of parties that participated in the elections. The official results showed that TBD received the biggest support on the elections, we collected 32 votes (25.60😵 of the 125 total votes and thus won 8 Congressman seats in this months Congress.

Good results also for Res Belgica and Union-Unie parties, which secured 7 Congressman spots each.

I want to congratulate again to all TBD candidates that got elected. This was a major success of our party. Me personally - and I think most of you also - didn't expect such support on these elections, but we now have to repay that support and work hard in the best interests of eBelgium. We had a mixed list of candidates, as can bee seen in my previous article, and I'm especially glad that our practice of introducing new players to the community was greatly appreciated and supported by the electorate. So, in addition to some well-known and experienced players, these elections also saw two of our candidates win their first ever Congressman seat (Comatosia and Bobby Teuchan) which are both RL Belgians, and a few eBelgians of foreign background that won their first ever CM seat in eBelgium (Sheredyn Artiles, NWOuroboros01 and Lord Of Emyn Arnen).
I hope they will not disappoint our trust in them and that they will do a good job as Congressmen for eBelgium.

1.0.2 The continuous growth of The Belgian Dream

Since the founding of The Belgian Dream in April 2013 by Maresal Lengas - then known as The Reformist Movement - we've continually grown: in numbers, in quality and in success on the political stage. The rising success in Congress Elections can be seen on this chart:

These last elections I am very proud of, since it was under my leadership that TBD enjoyed the biggest success to date on the CM elections.

Given the fact we're a relatively young party, I'm glad that in this period we also had two elected Country Presidents of eBelgium:

I think that this is a good demonstration of our growth, I hope we'll continue to grow and contribute to eBelgium as best as we can.

1.0.3 The rise of P.A.N.D.A

The list of Top5 parties in eBelgium before the Congress Elections was like this: H.O.P.E., RB, TBD, ATO & UU. H.O.P.E. had the most members and P.A.N.D.A was at the lower end with very few members. On the eve of the 24th September - the day that all parties officialese their final lists for the CM elections - there was a massive movement and exchange of party members between these two parties. I don't recall the exact numbers, but a large number of H.O.P.E. members moved to P.A.N.D.A and thus enabling the latter to enter Top5 so that it can participate on the CM elections. P.A.N.D.A's entering Top5 was at the cost of ATO which dropped to 6th and failed to participate on the elections.
Having been labeled as PTO parties both H.O.P.E. and P.A.N.D.A there was a late night action to try and stop this from happening. I won't mention who, but a few players that were online then, tried to help both ATO and UU parties (UU was also in danger) to stay in Top5 and stop the entering of a second PTO party in the Top5. The efforts were not enough obviously, as this came late in the night and there were few online players...
This is a constant battle in eBelgium, and we as TBD will continue this battle alongside the fighters against PTO.

2.0 The Belgian Dream's position in the upcoming Presidential Elections

Every 5th of the month are the Presidential Elections. The next elections are on the 5th October. The Belgian Dream will not have a candidate from it's own ranks on these elections, so there was the question of who will we support.
MaryamQ asked for our support after she accepted the CP nomination from Res Belgica, and after a short debate the majority of TBD members agreed that we as a party should give her our support.
So, this is an official announcement that The Belgian Dream will support MaryamQ for the position of Country President on the upcoming Presidential Elections.
We wish her good luck!

And that's all from me for now, I hope you'll find this article an interesting read and I hope it's not too long to bore you to death... 😃
I don't write too often, so that helps a lot... huehuehue 😛

It is my dream. It is your dream. It is our dream. It is the Belgian dream. As a team, we are The Belgian Dream.

With regards,
e Vladimir
Party President of The Belgian Dream
