[Talon] Time to Cut the Crap






My Friends,

The recent takeover of the UKPP was a huge shame for UK politics. Over the course of its life to date the UKPP has done much good for the UK, and while I may not have always agreed with their methods, their intent has always been for the good of the UK and that is commendable.

There has been much furore in the last few days about the manner of this takeover, with various sides attempting to pin the blame on their political enemies and others trying to take the credit for themselves. The purpose of this article is to cut through the crap and give the perspective of someone at the very top of UK politics.

Here is the sequence of events to the best of my knowledge. Few, if any others, know and talk to as many people as me and I can assure you that my information is both accurate and extensive. I’ll present it as a series of bullet points for ease of understanding.






-The story begins with Bigant. He was Party President of the UKPP last month and resigned from the party after a disagreement with Mick Cain and Wayne Kerr. This was an internal disagreement over the status of the Royal Navy.


-BA’s resignation gave the position of PP to the member of the UKPP with the highest experience level: Mwcerberus.


-MWC’s ascention to the position sparked an idea in Wayne- namely to get MWC elected to the position again on the 15th for dastardly purposes


-Wayne and MWC ensured the election would be successful using a few different techniques:

-MWC PM’d the UKPP membership asking for votes, while no other candidate did
-Wayne asked for votes in the Dental Corps MU feed
-MWC acted professionally as PP to build up a reputation
-The rest of the vote was split between several other UKPPers


-And so MWC was elected to the position of PP.







Now, it’s worth me stating that as this point, the only external influence was from the Dental Corps MU. I sit in their channel and saw several conversations about the election, mostly between wayne and other UKPP members, though I and other chan-sitters did join in. At this point the true purpose of MWC’s election wasn’t at all clear and it just looked like any other PP leadership election within a party.



-After the election, it wasn’t at all clear there had been any takeover


-The first sign was the congress list on the 24th, with spamican and ESO members on the list


-Things got worse days after this, with MWC changing the name of the party several times


Blame has come frequently and erroneously from many different sources, but here’s the right of it:



This whole mess was started by the gross incompetence of Bigant. Wayne then saw an opportunity for a laugh and took hold of it with both hands. He used his personal network of friends in the Dental Corps, the lack of a true opposition within UKPP, and hard work from MWC to secure the election.







Let me make this perfectly clear:

At no point has any New Era member done anything untoward with UKPP

At no point has any TUP member done anything untoward with UKPP



This absolutely was a political takeover, but it wasn’t an external one. Wayne’s faction within the UKPP came up with the idea, and enacted it all on their own, with essentially no opposition within the party. I condemn the accusations of foul play on both sides, and also condemn the fake logs made last night to troll.

We’re better than this.




My final thought, then, is this: The UKPP was taken over by a faction within the party, that has systematically destroyed a once-giant of UK politics. Only UKPP members can rescue their party. The inactivity and lack of opposition on your part allowed this to happen, and only by uniting and fighting for your party can it rise from the ashes!
