[Statistics]Around the eWorld Presidential Elections Analysis

Day 1,569, 06:04 Published in Portugal Portugal by jotapelx

Hello,

The publication of this newspaper had given me the pleasure of interacting with many people that I would have not known otherwise. From these interactions, I was defied to improve greatly the statistics and the engine behind to get a more wide range of variables. Contributing greatly is a player from Sweden Volcker which has pushed the boundaries of my data extractions a lot. Thank you.

Today we will analyze the results of the last presidential elections. The comparison will be against the first extraction, which was closer to the Previous Presidential elections, on day 1552. Since the Results of the previous elections are still available on the eRepublik website I was able to add one of the new variables to this ranking: The Mandate Strength, this variable is still a work in progress and might evolve to something more complete, but the first step is to say for which margin did the President won the elections. We will also look to one of the basic demographics: The Total Population, which decreased from the middle of February till yesterday.

Before analyzing the Rankings we will create the baseline of the current Alliances. Last week there was a change in the composition of the Alliances, Indonesia left ONE, and the Republic of China (Taiwan) entered the Garden of Eden (GEA) from the Pro-TEDEN faction. This change will be reflected in today’s rankings, and the comparison will include the values in the previous presidential elections with the active members at that time, this means the results of ONE will include Indonesia in the Previous Elections Columns but it will not include Indonesia in the results of ONE in the Current Elections. I will not change the status of both Bulgaria and Turkey in the mapping of Alliances, because statistically there are no changes concerning the MPPs.

The Data of these statistics is from day 1568 at 13:00.

The Alliances are divided in three major blocks:
- TEDEN;

- ONE;

- and Others

The following ranking looks to the Total Population closer to the previous Presidential Elections and the current Total Population, it is quite amazing the decreasing population of each country. Although this looks like a big red light to the Admins, the next variable which is the Election Votes, we actually see an increased number in the results, which means that the number of active players is actually bigger than it was in the previous elections.

The casted votes difference with the actual result only represents a variation of 3% which can be considered good enough. The major outliers in this statistic are: Iran with 19%, Republic of Moldova with 12% and United Arab Emirates with 12% of the total Votes.

The Average Participation Ratio in the elections checks the Total election votes against the Total Population; the average participation ratio in the eWorld is of 25%. The countries with the bigger participation ratio are: United Arab Emirates, Slovenia and New Zealand with participation above 40%.

The Mandate Strength variable defines the % results of the elected president. In this case there are many countries with just one candidate meaning a swooping 100% mandate strength, and as I said before this is a work in progress variable, which means that in future ranking it will be put into the equation others factors such as the participation ratio and the results of the runner-up. Taking into consideration the result and the participation ratio four countries stand out: South Africa, Canada, Portugal and New Zealand.

The following tables take into consideration the changes into the Alliances mapping, and we can see an important alignment with the winning alliances concerning their mandate strength, and overall we can see that there was an increase of voters, even in the case of ONE which lost an important Allie with Indonesia.

And by Big Alliances we have:

The following charts represent a graphic representation of the data above:

In my next articles we will look into the Conquest and the Economy Rankings. The Economy Ranking is still a work in progress due to the latest changes into the Single Currency behavior, although it simplified my life concerning the comparisons between countries, I need to update my previous data with the exchange rates provided so that the comparison has meaningful information.

As always, in order for this information to reach a wider audience, please vote, subscribe and shout this article.
