[ST] Changes EN+ITA

Ciao,
I’m new in eItaly and firstly I’d like to thank you for accepting my citizenship request. I’m looking forward to become a contributive part of this lovely community I always had special feelings for. eItaly is a country me and my family have been fighting for ages. Whenever Don Croata asked us to fight for Italy we’ve always did our best, no matter how hard it was. Since eIreland has lost many people recently who we cared a lot for we’ve decided to start a new adventure, in some other small, friendly country. The choice was pretty easy. We had a survey and huge majority voted Italy for our new destination. We understand that language will maybe be a problem, but our members are Inept Punisher, Italo Nostalgico and many other RL Italians who has been with us in The Family (or Familia now). We don’t know much about eItaly internally, about the relations between eItalians, but we’re happy to learn.



Change of eWorld

This article isn’t just about introduction to eItaly, I also wanted to express my opinion about the recent ‘conflicts’ between two our friends - Chile and Bulgaria. Those two countries has both been a members of CoT and Aurora, their friendship has became legendary. They were fighting against the odds, they were underdogs and regardless of what happened to both of those countries they stick together and keep fighting for each others. It was a friendship all other countries could be a jelaous of. So what happened recently? For the sake of having a simple article I’ll try to ignore some details which I consider not being too important.

Since I was eIrish before coming to eIreland my only allies were Aurora members. It was an alliance made of countries who always cared more for their allies than for themselves, no one cared about the country size, even one of the smallest - eIreland has been in charge of Aurora for many months in its beginning. For us Aurora represented everything which was worth fighting for. Strongest members of Aurora was Bulgaria and Chile (also MKD). Those three countries has been capable of winning any battle they wanted thanks to their faithful allies, capable Governments and great alliance organisation. Even while being in Aurora Chile had a good relations with Croatia, a country who was not so friendly with MKD and BG. This wasn’t as important for most of Aurora soldiers, everyone understood Chile and supported their friendships with countries outside of the alliance. It was a good thing for the whole alliance. The issue has escalated after the end of Aurora. When the alliance falled apart BG and MKD had some troll wars with Croatia, things were escalating quickly and soon after that Croatia has been tanking hard for Greece against those two (they’ve been fighting for Greece for the whole time, but never that hard). It was natural thing that Bulgaria and Macedonia kinda wanted Chile to leave Croatia. They never insisted on it, but they didn’t like that friendship. There was several articles in which they asked Chile to leave Croatia. Those articles weren’t in place and I was against them. I thought it’s nice for Chile to keep all of their friends and not to break relations with them. Ireland did the same with Russia, USA, Bulgaria and Macedonia whole this time and it would be wrong if we did something else.





Escalation of the conflict

The real issues started when Chile expanded their friend’s list to Turkey. I don’t have anything against Turkey, but that country was persona non grata for Bulgaria and Macedonia. We all know the history between Bulgaria and Turkey and it was a wrong thing by Chile to sign MPP with Turkey. I guess Chile just wanted to stay as much neutral as possible when Aurora vs. Sirius troubles started. But, they did a wrong thing. Bulgaria didn’t like it, but they’ve never broke relations with Chile.

What happened after few months was pretty much the same thing, but this time by Bulgaria. BG signed MPP with Peru, enemy of Chile for a long time. They did that for the same reason - to expand their friend list and get a little close to Asteria which means safety for that country. I can’t blame them since most of the countries are doing the same. Chile reacted badly, they started to call Bulgarians traitors. So Chile and Bulgaria did the same thing, but reaction from Chilean side has been much worse. The general feeling is that Chile is trying hard to befriend exEDEN countries (EDEN after Turkey has been switched with Bulgaria). That means leaving Bulgaria and Macedonia as their allies and breaking one of the biggest friendships this game has ever saw. That would make me sad as exAurora soldier. I hope it won’t happen, but it’s most likely thing.

Future is now

My prediction for the coming weeks are that Chile is going to end up in alliance with Croatia, Turkey, Argentina and few other proAsteria countries, mostly core countries in exEDEN. Bulgaria and Macedonia won’t have much choice and they will have to become more proAsteria. It reminds me of the old EDEN vs ONE days, when ONE dominated the world. Anyway, the coming days are surely going to be interesting and I do hope that my new country - eItaly is going to stay loyal to all of its allies. There are many things a country can gain or lose, but once you lose a true friend there’s nothing which can replace it. Ireland knew that and sticked with their friends, I’m sure Italy is going to do the same.

Until some new dawn of Aurora, or some other alliance of that kind I’ll just keep fighting for my allies and previous friends who never betrayed their allies. There’s not many of them and most of them are smaller countries, but it’s a motive good enough to stay in the game. Loyalty has no price.

Sono appena arrivato in eItalia e, per prima cosa, vorrei ringraziarvi per aver accettato la mia richiesta di cittadinanza. Non vedo l’ora di diventare una parte attiva di questa community adorabile per cui ho sempre nutrito sentimenti speciali. L’eItalia è un paese per il quale io e la mia famiglia abbiamo combattuto da un sacco di tempo. Ogni volta che Don Croata ci ha chiesto di combattere per l’eItalia abbiamo sempre fatto del nostro meglio, indipendentemente da quanto fosse difficile. Poiché l’eIrlanda ha perso molte persone cui tenevamo molto abbiamo deciso di iniziare una nuova avventura, in un qualche paese piccolo e amichevole. La scelta è stata piuttosto semplice. Abbiamo indetto un sondaggio e la stragrande maggioranza dei votanti si è espressa a favore dell’eItalia come nostra nuova meta. Siamo consapevoli che la lingua possa essere un problema, ma Inept Punisher, Italo Nostalgico e molti altri giocatori italiani in real life che hanno fatto parte della family (ora Famiglia), sono dei nostri. Non sappiamo molto delle faccende interne all’eItalia, alle relazioni tra gli eitaliani, ma saremmo felici di apprendere.

Non scrivo quest’articolo solo per presentarci all’eItalia, vorrei anche esprimere la mia opinione circa i recenti ‘conflitti’ tra due dei nostri amici – Cile e Bulgaria. Questi due paesi sono stati entrambi membri di CoT e di Aurora, e la loro amicizia è diventata leggendaria. Combattevano contro tutti i pronostici, erano degli outsider e nonostante quello che capitava loro si sono legati e hanno continuato ad aiutarsi a vicenda. Era un’amicizia che gli altri paesi potevano invidiare. Quindi, cos’è successo di recente? Per non rendere l’articolo troppo complesso, cercherò di ignorare qualche dettaglio, che ritengo non essere troppo importante.
Poiché sono irlandese, i miei unici alleati erano membri di Aurora. Era un’alleanza composta da paesi che hanno sempre dato più importanza agli alleati che a se stessi, a nessuno importava della potenza dei paesi, nemmeno dei più piccoli – l’eIrlanda è stata ai vertici di Aurora per diversi mesi, ai primordi. Per noi, Aurora era tutto ciò per cui valeva la pena combattere. I membri più forti di Aurora erano Bulgaria e Cile (con MKD). Questi tre paesi sono stati in grado di vincere qualsiasi battaglia grazie all’aiuto di alleati fedeli, a governanti capaci e una grande sinergia a livello di alleanza. Anche durante la permanenza in Aurora, il Cile ha mantenuto buoni rapporti con la Croazia, un paese non molto amichevole con MKD e Bulgaria, un particolare non così importante per la maggior parte dei soldati di Aurora, tutti comprendevano la scelta del Cile e supportavano le loro amicizie al di fuori dell’alleanza. Il problema è cresciuto esponenzialmente dopo la fine di Aurora. Non appena l’alleanza cadde frammentandosi BG e MKD intrapresero delle troll war con la Croazia; le cose andarono peggiorando molto velocemente, dopo che la Croazia cominciò a tankare duramente per la Grecia contro i due (i croati hanno sempre sparato al fianco dei greci, ma mai così strenuamente). Era scontato che BG e MKD volessero all’incirca che il Cile piantasse la Croazia. Non hanno mai insistito sull’argomento, ma non gradivano quell’amicizia. Sono stati pubblicati diversi articoli in cui chiedevano al Cile di abbandonare la Croazia. Quegli articoli erano fuori luogo ed ero contro di essi. L’Irlanda ha fatto lo stesso con Russia, Bulgaria e Macedonia per tutto questo tempo e sarebbe stato sbagliato se avessimo fatto qualcos’altro.



L’intensificarsi del conflitto.

I veri attriti sono sorti quando il Cile ha esteso la sua lista di amici accludendovi la Turchia. Non ho niente contro la Turchia, ma questo paese era persona non grata a Bulgaria e Macedonia. Conosciamo tutti i trascorsi tra Bulgaria e Turchia e, da parte del Cile, è stato scorretto stipularvi un MPP. Suppongo che il Cile volesse solo rimanere il più neutrale possibile, quando sono venuti al pettine i nodi tra Aurora e Sirius. Tuttavia, hanno sbagliato. La Bulgaria non ha gradito, ma non ha mai rotto i rapporti col Cile.

Ciò che è avvenuto qualche mese fa è grossomodo un fatto analogo, ma questa volta compiuto dalla Bulgaria. BG stipulò un MPP con il Perù, nemico del Cile da molto tempo. L’hanno fatto per lo stesso motivo – per ampliare la loro lista di amici e avvicinarsi un pochino ad Asteria, il che equivale a maggiore sicurezza. Non posso biasimarli, perché molti paesi hanno fatto e fanno lo stesso. Il Cile ha reagito malamente, cominciando a tacciare i bulgari di tradimento. In poche parole, Bulgaria e Cile hanno fatto la stessa cosa, ma la reazione dal lato cileno è stata molto peggiore. L’impressione generale è che il Cile stia provando in tutti i modi ad di aiutare i paesi un tempo membri di EDEN (l’EDEN dopo che la Turchia fu scambiata con la Bulgaria). Questo significherebbe lasciare la Bulgaria, la Macedonia e i loro alleati, e rompere così una delle amicizie più grandi mai viste in questo gioco. Sarebbe triste, per me, come ex soldato di Aurora. Spero che non accada, ma è molto probabile.

Future is now.

La mia previsione per le settimane a venire vede il Cile finire in un’alleanza con Croazia, Turchia, Argentina e qualche altro paese proAsteria, soprattutto paesi centrali nell’area exEDEN. La Bulgaria e la Macedonia non avranno molta scelta e diventeranno più spiccatamente proAsteria. Mi ricorda molto dei vecchi tempi, teatro dello scontro tra EDEN contro ONE, quando quest’ultima dominava il mondo. Comunque sia, i prossimi giorni saranno sicuramente interessante, e spero che il mio nuovo paese – l’eItalia, rimanga leale a tutti i suoi alleati. Ci sono molte cose che un paese può guadagnare o perdere, ma una volta che perdi un vero amico, niente può sostituirlo. L’Irlanda lo sapeva ed è rimasta coi suoi amici, sono sicuro che l’Italia farà lo stesso.

Sino a una qualche nuova alba per Aurora, o per qualche altra alleanza di quel tipo, continuerò a combattere per i miei alleati e per gli amici precedenti, che non hanno mai tradito i loro. Non ce ne sono molti e i più sono piccoli paesi, ma è un motivo sufficientemente forte per continuare a giocare. La lealtà non ha prezzo.
