[SINERGIA] RESOURCE WARS ||| a hard blow and a new challenge that we must face

Writer's Note: This newspaper article and its content is a personal appreciation of the game and the changes ahead. My purpose is to provide information ( many of you can agree or not) and a personal vision mixed with a bit of acid humor to try to make reading more fun. Cordial greeting all citizens, As you may know, eRepublik Admins have announced a few hours ago, a new massive event in which a redistribution of resources of each country under the name of "Resource Wars"

Such as happened a few months ago with 2 advertisements to implement that took place on day 2576 (Medal Changes) and 2579 (Boost the Economy Days). Days when I made an journalistic publication on the subject and you can remember here > [SINERGIA] GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS || Economic Collapse?

The uncertainty of what might happen because of these issues immediately produced an "economic earthquake" and speculation of people not long in coming. But time put things in place and brought stability in general terms. In the article you can read I mentioned a possible change in terms of “Resource Shuffle”, which basically means reorganization of the resources of the our eWorld.

The changes came and "Resource Wars" is not a minor situation and bring huge global impact, probably a new distribution alliances and wars. "prima facie" does not seem to bring an improvement in the game or in economic module (which ultimately was what we was asked of Administrators), but once again "Plato" gives us a hard blow for all of us changing the rules in a blink of the eye, and as always, we (the players) trying to settle into the rules imposed and trying to "move our pieces" (as in chess) as best we can.


I'll do a summary of new information, so you have a concept of the idea and the most important:

In Resource Wars event countries will have a chance to win resources for their historical (core) regions. The resources of the New World will be re-distributed based on the country's military performance and diplomatic efforts during the event.

Each country will be able to select and prioritize resources they want for each of the country’s historical (core) regions. The responsibility of the selection will fall on the shoulders of the President.

Selection itself is not enough, as the country also has to win the resource. There is a limited amount of resources available (the list can be found at the bottom of this post), so careful planning and good strategic decisions are required if you are to succeed in the future.

In short, there are 3 ways to gain resources:
1. Country wins a Resource Token from a campaign and it’s used for a region according to the list made by the President
2. Country receives a Resource Token as a donation from another country which already had new resources on all of their regions
3. Country spends Event Points to bid for a Resource Token in a Bidding Phase at the end of Resource Wars

The final way to get resources is after the event ends, during the Bidding Phase. When all the Resource Tokens and Event Points have been spent, the remaining resources will be distributed to the remaining regions. The country with the lowest amount of Country Power will get the first picks, and this will be continued until every region has a resource.

The amount of regions and resources is unchanged, so no region will be left without a resource.

Day 2,621 07:00 eRepublik time - The specifications of Resource Wars are published and countries can start preparing their lists.
Day 2,625 00:00 eRepublik time - Resource Wars event starts and campaigns started after this moment will award Resource Tokens and Event Points.
Day 2,638 23:59 eRepublik time - Resource Wars event stops. Campaigns ending after this moment won’t award Resource Tokens or Event Points.
Day 2,639 0:00 eRepublik time - The Bidding Phase starts and lasts for 2 days.
Day 2,640 23:59 eRepublik time - The Bidding Phase ends.
Day 2,640 - Remaining resources are assigned to remaining regions.
Day 2,642 - The latest possible day when the new resources are added.

Please notice that the schedule, especially towards the end, is subject to changes. Stay tuned for updates!

But this could be good?

the answer is just that .... could. Because we need to consider a few things:

# 1. Should really do it Equally
# 2. Should reconsider the number of core Country regions.
# 3. the strategy have little to do in battles just limited to the amount of players that every country has and how much money (RL) these players are able to spend.

Uruguay or Singapore = 1 region and USA = 50 regions (by naming a eCountry) ... hmm not Seems fair, right ?.

FINAL ANALYSIS AND REVIEW

To all this, the Admins pretended under the title of "Feedback Require😛 Resource Shuffle" know the opinion of the people on this proposal. No surprise that the vast majority did not agree, and even offered ideas. But again the demands and the opinions were discarded.

To conclude: Read, analyze, Study it for your own conclusions. Not have to worry, but we have to deal with the issue

In this time it, the eWorld end is near?
We will have possible changes in the money market, we will have new wars, new alliances among countries to try to balance forces. Big and Rich countries will continue in this way, while small and poor countries, also will continue that way. In short, and as I said last time, the world will continue spinning and the course of time will tell us the truth
