This article is geared toward giving an overview of 3 of the top Military units in the New Worl😛 the US Special Forces, Polish GROM and the Union Militar Argentina. Beginning with the paraphernalia we've come to associate with the MUs in question (badge, tags etc.) and a few facts, each section will give a brief description of the MU's origins, the objectives its founders envisaged for it; how its organised, what supply is like for a soldier in the MU; then finish with a short synopsis of its history.

Description

The Special Forces have been amongst the top 2 or 3 US MUs since their inception, with membership requirements the highest in all the USAF branches. The unit was designed to give maximum coverage throughout any 24 hour period through its organisation into several Companies with multiple officers able to update orders at any time of the day, this allows the SFs huge flexibility and the ability to strike hard and swift anywhere at any time.

Organisation

The Special Forces are organized in three Companies of which Alpha and Bravo are reserved for soldiers who dwell in the United States (or countries with the same time zone) and the Euro Company for soldiers living in Europe. This ensures the eUS SF are able to react at any time in the shortest possible time-frame. Supply-wise a communed Special Forces soldier can expect 2,400 energy per day and as many Q7 Tanks as he wishes to use.

History

In early April 2011 the Joint Chiefs of Staff decided to remove the eUS Military from the US chain of command and refused funding deciding instead to operate as a self-sufficient militia. General HisAirness was in command of the USMC at this time with Lieutenant General Kell Draygo as second in command. The decision made by the JCS was a complete surprise that nobody was prepared for. Kell Draygo and many of the officers did not receive any information and what they saw made them believe the USMC would be unable to fulfil its task without Governmental funding. As a result there was a split between those officers wanting to stay as a group and those wanting to join the new USAF. HisAirness and many others decided to stay. However, Kell Draygo, Evry, Anyonymous, xDavidx and Pdeb felt it was more important to be loyal to the eUS Government and to deliver the highest possible damage which could only be done with proper funding. Some time later Joe DaSmoe, enderaggie and about 10 - 20 other soldiers joined along with the first recruits including the current Commander General Bockson. Kell Draygo was put in charge of the Special Forces by SecDef Deificus and so became its first Commander.

Q: И каково обеспечение отряда?

A: Я не в праве называть точную сумму, которая выделяется нашему отряду, но благодаря нашим заводам, отряд может снабжать бойца на 2400 энергии и нужными для этого танками. Вероятно это изменится по экономическим причинам.

Q: Расскажите нам о вашем девизе 'Prestige Worldwide'?

A: 'Prestige Worldwide' (престиж по всему миру) появился через несколько месяцев после основания отряда, летом. Фраза из "Сводных братьев", 2008 года с участием Huff и Doback. Мне кажется, слогон появился на наших IRC каналах и я приложил руку к его появлению. Prestige worldwide имеет и ещё один смысл - у нас есть бойцы со всего мира.

Q: Можешь назвать какую либо значительную битву, в которой приняли участие SF?

A: Я не могу назвать какую-то одну, но мы сражались за изгнание захватчиков из США как минимум дважды. Затем мы освободили некоторые нации и всегда находимся в готовности к мобильным ударам. Мы сражаемся ОЧЕНЬ МНОГО.

When did you become involved with the Special Forces?

I was one of the earliest members of the unit, others came in quite rapidly after Officership had been assigned. We received a large cadre of Euro-zone soldiers due to World War 5; many still call the SF home. Our membership now hasn't changed very much from then, though many of our fighters are not indigenous residence.

What was it like in the Special Forces in its early days and tell us something about the split from the eUS Military?

The Early membership was primarily Marines disaffected by the Military Split that happened just prior and during April 2011. [...] Regarding the Split there's not much I can really explain that hasn't been written about by this time. When I came to the US I was blissfully unaware of the situation, a perfect storm as it were. The issue of the split was glamorized for over a year; it was really a simple Command and Control between the Office of President and the JCS. Since the President runs the show and the JCS no longer followed Military Orders, the JCS was canned, simple.

What's supply like in the Special Forces?

I'm not at liberty to provide what our Secretary of Defense allots to us monetarily, but in regards to Military Hardware we are able to provide a soldier 2,400 energy and all required Daily Tanks under the current conditions. This may change soon due to Economic reasons that are largely out of Player control (Market Bot).

Tell us something about the 'Prestige Worldwide' motto?

'Prestige Worldwide' came about as a motto a few months [after the SF's founding] during the summer, the phrase is from 'Step Brothers' 2008, more specifically 'Boats 'n' Hoes' - Huff & Doback. I believe the motto was created in our IRC channels, I think I had a hand in starting/utilizing it. 'Prestige Worldwide' of course means more than just that. We've hit number one Influence with little under 120 members recently. Prestige Worldwide means basically that, also we've some Elite folks in our cadre from all around the world. We've fought daily in WW5, under the current Alliance demographics things have switched up due to our PTO/ATO.

Can you name any significant battle the Special Forces were involved in?

I can't name a single battle, but we fought to kick out invaders of the USA twice. We have freed several Nations in the past, and are always on call for mobile strikes. We fight A LOT.

Description

GROM started out way back in 2009 aiming to be a fully professional formation from the get-go. Designed to ensure the highest possible degree of training and preparation for different tasks in the country and beyond its borders, GROM was the first Polish unit organized based on the best of the Romanian and Spanish MU models. GROM's founders wished for the outfit to be prepared to conduct comprehensive special operations, direct actions and anti-terrorist missions in conditions of peace, crisis and war. As a rapid deployment unit it was designed to be able to mobilise to anywhere in the world and work cohesively with allied special forces units.

BuzzY был первым командиром GROM. За короткое время он собрал вокруг себя группу соратников и они продолжили формирование отряда под обозначенные цели. Первая волна бойцов пришла из других специальных отрядов польских вооружённых сил.

History

BuzzY was GROM's first commander. Within a short space of time he had gathered around himself a group of like-minded and professional officers and set about choosing soldiers that would be a fit for special operations and the kind of warfare GROM were going to pursue. The first batch of recruits all came from a variety of already-existing special units within the Polish armed forces.

When Poland was an EDEN member, GROM worked closely with their Romanian cousins, and trained extensively in Podolia in Tactical Operations with many of the top Romanian MUs.

Description

Union Militar Argentina is the military wing of the political party with the same name, and is one of the biggest MUs in the entire New World. The political wing was the first Argentine far-right authoritarian party, it developed and executed a unique policy of simulating a real life military regime, a 'total mobilisation' of the people, in order to strengthen the nation and ensure UMA performed at the highest level on the battlefield. The founders were Jockey, Richthofen and GobCba-AR, with HELMUTON joining a few days later. The founding principles were:

3. Discipline
4. Industriousness
5. Optimism
6. Obedience
7. Honesty
8. Tolerance
9. Service
10. Overcoming

In keeping with its constitution, the UMA seeks the inclusion of all new citizens ultimately, according to Part 1, Art 3 of the constitution, to "Convert Argentina into the main Latin American power".

Организационная структура UMA состоит из четырёх рангов: Солдат (новички), Унтер-офицер (занимаются тренировкой солдат и обеспечением дисциплины), Офицер (отвечают за организацию партии) и Командование (высшая власть в UMA). Все решения любой важности выносятся командованием и решения эти - всегда окончательные.


Organisation

In the "vertical organization" adopted by the UMA leadership, all major decisions are taken by the "Higher State", these are all experienced players with the greatest knowledge of how the game operates, who all share a long record of demonstrating hard work and dedication to the Party and the nation.

The goal of marrying the UMA military and political wing was to create an environment where UMA doctrine would be established as the sole ideology guiding the membership, encouraging bonds of loyalty both between members and the UMA organisation, fostering camaraderie and helping promote a good community. The defence of Argentine sovereignty and economic and military growth was always of optimum importance in this vision -- defend the interest of the nation above all!

UMA commanders are committed to giving their soldiers not just an education in the military aspect of the game, but also in the political and economic modules.

The UMA organisation is split into four ranks: Soldiers, Sub-officers, Officers and the Higher State, with soldiers the newest members of UMA, and Sub-officers responsible for training these Soldiers and maintaining their discipline. The Officers are responsible for organizing the party. Above the Officer class is the Higher State, this is the highest authority in UMA, and are responsible for addressing the issues most important to the UMA. All judgements of any significance will be made by Higher State -- and the sentence is always final.

History

UMA MU soldiers were amongst the first in the game to enjoy supply. During V2 UMA soldiers were divided into groups according to the speciality of each soldier (Military Air Battalion, Argentine Medium Tank, Marine Battalion, etc). Today the regiments are arranged according to the soldier's Division, this allows UMA commanders better Damage control in battle.

The political wing of the UMA has been the dominant power for just over one year in Argentine politics. Regularly leading congress and boasting the highest number of presidents to have served the Argentine nation. Under UMA presidencies Argentina has conducted some of its most successful military operations, and aims to continue providing opportunity for its soldiers to serve their country on the battlefield and its Argentine citizens a place to gather and feel comfortable, where they can obtain weapons and foodstuff and where they can grow and develop faster and contribute on the battlefield and defend the interests of their nation.
