Day 3,103, 19:47 Published in Australia Thailand by Revolutionary Socialist Union

Greetings eAustralia,

Welcome to the first RSU (of many we hope) RSU Edumacation articles.

In these article, the RSU will talk about different topics that many players will come across during their game playing time here on eRep. We will try and provide upto date and correct information, but bear in mind, when reading this, the information might be out dated or game changes could effect the information inside it.

Also if you have any ideas for future Edumacataion Articles please speak up via the comments section or PM.

Houses and You

The RSU country house

In today's edumacation article, we will be talking about houses and what they mean to you.

Houses in eRep serve to main purposes, be it in getting Overtime tickets or Increase in Energy, they are both very useful to many players.

Overtime Tickets:

Houses generate overtime tickets every time they are activated. These Overtime Points accumulate 1 point/hour for every activated house you own (Please note: If you have 2 Q1 houses activated, they will still only earn 1 point per hour for the duration. If you have 1 Q1 and 1 Q2, you will get 2 points per hour, as it combines the time/duration of the same level house)

Using these overtime tickets you can work more then then 1 shift for your employer. You will need 24 over time tickets to work an extra shift (Please Note: You will earn Experience Points every time you work, also you will use extra energy if you work more then once every hour. Also it is dependent on your employers wage budget.)

This is good if you are someone who logs in frequently or your employer encourages overtime. This will allow you to earn extra money so you can invest in your own companies or stock up on your weapons.

Increase in energy:

For every Q level house you have activated, you will be given an increase in your daily energy level. This energy level increase is dependent on the type of house you have activated.

Q1 House: +50 Energy Bonus
Q2 House: +80 Energy Bonus
Q3 House: +100 Energy Bonus
Q4 House: +150 Energy Bonus
Q5 House: +200 Energy Bonus

Every level of house lasts for 7 Days (168hrs or 168 overtime tickets/7 extra overtime shifts). But these timers can be combined when you have more of the same Q type of house activated at the same time. So in theory if you have all 5 types of Q houses activated, you will receive an energy boost of 580 for a period of 1 week which will also earn you 840 overtime tickets resulting in the ability to work 35 overtime shifts.

Houses: Are they really for me....

Now you have come to this point, you will be thinking if it is really worth while you obtaining a house and if it is to your benefit. This will vary on case by case basis. You will need to look at these main factors:

* If your employer allows overtime and how much.
* Do you mind earning extra experience points and face the chance of ranking up sooner.
* Will you earn enough money to cover the cost of a house and still have some in your back pocket.

Looking at those three main points, you might realise that houses is not a benefit for you or you might see that they are. Taking those three points and using my own account as an example we can go through it to see if is a benefit or not.

Employer allowing overtime:

As you would of seen in the above screen shot, I have already earnt 1080cc for the day and my employer allows me to work more shifts.

And other employers allow high amount of overtime with a decent wage.

Earning extra Experience Points:

As you can see for every time you work, you will earn 2 EP. For some people, this might not bother you too much, but for others you might not want to level up and end up in a different division. This will be entirely on you and your playing style.

Money Earn't vs Cost of House

Now this is the big factor. Depending on who you work for and the current house price, this extra expense might not be worth it at all.

Currently in the eAustralian market a Q1 House costs:

And globally the price of a Q1 House costs:

Using erepublik-deutschland.de you can find the best price in the world market

So if we were to take those figures, we can do some rough math to see if it is viable to buy a Q1 House and use it for the potential to earn extra money.

As you can see from the above figures, working for someone in Australia @ 100cc per shift (96cc after tax), you will earn $672cc extra (plus your normal $672cc) per week.

So after buying a Q1 House in Australia, you will make a profit of 148cc (just going from the overtime). However if you worked for someone who allows a higher amount of overtime and purchase the Q1 houses to be able to do it, there is the potential to earn massive profits.

Confused

Confused? well if my ramblings have confused you, sorry. But the bottom line is, even with the world wide higher house prices, it is still very profitable to purchase a Q1 House and earn extra profit from it.

For a much better understanding of the House system, please read this old article from Ilene Dover from well over a year ago. The math in it might be different due to the different house prices and wages, but the concept still remains the same. Houses = Money
