Hello, I am not running for reelection as PP of Res Belgica this upcoming election. Just wanted to get that straight. I HAVE FAILED YOU. I hope my successor will not.
Res Belgica Some younger players might have spotted this name in the list of eBelgian parties, without hearing anything else about it or knowing what it once stood for. Older players probably remember it as one of the first parties of the independent eBelgium and an important political force in the young nation, but practically inactive for the last couple of months.
Back in the days it were the difficult times that created the need for a party like Res Belgica, which used to defend such essential values as democracy, tolerance and constructive dialogue, and seeing how things were evolving lately, it's clear that our current social and political challenges still make those values as relevant as ever. This is why I want to announce the rebirth of Res Belgica as a home for all those who are fed up with constant bickering and personal feuds, and who want to be a positive force in this community.
Hoping to be a mix of young and older players again, a melting pot of experience and fresh ideas, we welcome everyone who wants to help us in bringing about change and regaining pride of being eBelgian. I don't think you failed. You had a rough task.
I'm willing to step up to try and get RB back where it was, but not without the support of all RB members, old and new!
I'll write a manifesto in the coming days.
You are too harsh towards yourself Trito Fisher. As Helviro said - your task was not easy at all. And I and few others know for sure that you did everything you could do to revamp RB. Not managing to fulfill the task is not your failure, because it takes time...
And believe me - Res Belgica is not dead! As long as I am eAlive, the party will exist, because I'm not leaving the place where I met all that great people - some eDead now, some gone in other eLands, some here - still...
Let us go forward, together!
