Join the new world

Today I was given my first assignment by Justinious as Press Secretary. To inform the people, my job as Press Secretary is to write official articles about our government, what they are doing and basically keeping the citizens informed. This helps greatly with the transparency that we are trying to achieve this month, so if you want to stay informed, I suggest subscribing to the following three newspapers that will release information almost daily on government affairs.

Now getting down to business. In his first few days in office, Justin has organized his cabinet and introduced some new departments. So far everything is running smoothly, and here's what we have going on to benefit the country and it's citizens for a better game play experience.


Welcoming Committee
The WC has now been getting organized mostly by PrincessMedyPi. As you may have seen in the shouts section, there is much hustle and bustle about the updates newbie message. This is brought to you the WC. A lot of their information can be found in the USA Forum Section for the WC. This group has been working hard to meet all new citizens and are doing a wonderful job of it so far. Their most recent project is to set up a new chat room for the newer citizens as #us is big and can be intimidating for new citizens getting involved there.

Department of Education
The DoE, lead by Tiacha has been very busy as of late. This department has been organizing information, categorizing tutorials and working with the WC to help new players find their way. They even have their own IRC chat room as well as a USA Forum Section for the DoE Working in this department, Ian John Locke IV has also contributed the the work done around the clock to educate our new population. This department has a big and important job ahead of them. If anyone is willing to participate, contact either Ian or Tiacha about getting involved.

Economics Council
Obviously a big issue in the last election was the economy. The EC has been doing a lot of work to keep the Monetary Market in order. So far they have already risen the dollar value. This part of government is very important, as when the economy is in bad shape, the citizens become unhappy. Keeping the people informed of the EC's actions is also pertinent, which is why these articles are key in this government. the EC is also working on ways to make final products less expensive and more affordable. Discussions have taken place, and taxes are changing to benefit this economy. All in all this department has been doing well and the effects of their work is showing in a positive way.

Statistical Analysis and Development Department
Better known as SADD, this department is rather new and introduced by President Justinious for the reason of prioritizing what must be done first and most importantly for the USA to succeed. This department has been covering every aspect of government, looking at ways to better it in each area. Economics, military strategy organization, you name it and they improve it. This department is lead by Justinious himself, along with scripting wizard Pearlswine and forum god One Eye. This department has a very capable team and is off to a good start

Military Reform Committee
The MRC is a group headed by Joeph and Ron Paul. This is set up so that the military can eliminate all the clutter that is added into the mess while trying to organize the military. This group is set apart from the military, but still does work to better organize them. They have been working to reduce the amount of time it takes to send ECHO's and getting government contracts for weapons supplies. With experience on the previous term's military shortcomings, this group has been doing much to better our army.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Lead by Benn Dover, the Secretary of State, This department has already stepped up to the plate and is making a name for itself. Benn has organized many people and a list of ambassadors has been made. This was not done by himself though, John Jay, now oversees the outgoing Ambassadors from the USA to foreign country. Organization on his part to have an Ambassador to every country has been big, but there are still several countries that need an Ambassador. If you aspire to be an Ambassador, please contact John Jay or Benn Dover. Do it now while positions are still open!

Anarquia manages all the incoming embassies from foreign countries. He manages the embassies subforums and does a lot of work to keep them organizes. Lukasz Makowski works as the UMoFA and watches over John and Anarquia. Together, these four leaders have been working to get foreign relations organized and in tact.

These are just a few of the departments that have been in the spotlight lately. All of them have been doing a wonderful job and this government is shaping up to be quite successful in only it's first week. All the other departments that have been working behind the scenes, just like Justin has for a while have also been doing fantastic work.
