[President SORA] Unite to defend

Day 2,097, 21:07 Published in Philippines Republic of China (Taiwan) by Analia Arnheim
Al Raposas second (sixth) State of the Republic Address

Filipinos and foreigners alike, greetings.

I greatly apologize if this came in late since it is a Filipino trait to value punctuality, especially in submitting a report to the nation, how big or small the population is.

Now, in the past month, we have failed to gain any region, despite making a desperate but prepared effort to free Luzon ten days before the last Congress elections. Since we have no land, the government had to make ends meet for the nation and its people.

Now, after partial diplomatic victory with China, wherein talks had been ongoing for many weeks now, Mindanao was freed not only due to our fighting power, but also to those from China and Indonesia who preferred to fight for us. We can at least say now that we are starting to reap some harvest for our collective efforts for the Philippines. For that, I would like to thank you. Still, I would like to warn the people to stay vigilant. We have to unite our energies to defend our lone region from countries who would want to occupy it for Congress.

Now, the rising problem we have to circumvent is the continuing decline in population that is not only experienced by the Philippines, but by many countries as well in the lower half of the population ranking. Take for example Japan, whose population retreated below the 1,000 level for the first time this month. In Australia, more or less 200 citizens were lost since last month. Pakistan lost around 100 citizens in the past month. In our case, we slid below the 300 level shortly after presidential elections. This week, we retreated to the 250 level, with great possibility to continue declining.

I really do not want to blame Plato or anyone in the Erepublik admin about this, so I would take this chance to lambast the inefficiency of our people to help increase the population. I have hired some foreigners to invite a few new citizens, but this is not enough. We need a collective effort from our own. Besides, if your invited citizen levels up, you will gain 10% of his or her earned gold. Also, I am promising 50 PHP once you send me the link of your invited citizen, another 50 PHP if you help him or her reach Level 21, and another 50 PHP for reaching Level 23. If these rewards is not enough for you, our austerity measures prohibit us to give anything more. But for the country, I hope you will work hard in this issue as the government does too for the people.

Government hard work will be reflected upon the citizens as well.

As of the moment, Day 2097, the treasury now stand at around 31,200 PHP. A full 9,200 PHP rise from Day 2089 (around 42% increase). This was done partially with zero region, and partially with one region. As seen from the past month, our financial standing is expected to grow by 6% every week without any region. However, with the new work taxes enforced by Plato in effect, we expect this figure to change since we can now provide jobs locally after the liberation of Mindanao. Predicting with these figures, we can now see some 3-4% growth each day in our financial standing, with it punching through the 40,000 level in the next seven days.

In two days, the NaN Unity Cup will begin. A basketball competition formed to foster peace and unity among the remaining members of the alliance, this can be witnessed at Rizon in IRC. Contact the Minister of Culture and Arts for details.

The past week also, we have begun the supply program. We have upgraded our supplies this time, making all weapons distributed Q6. All you need to do is to fill up the form being given whenever Battle Orders are released by the Minister of Defense. The program is now open up to citizens with the Level 36 below.

Yours truly,
Al Raposas
President of the Republic of the Philippines
Assembly Representative of the Philippines to NaN
Duke of Luzon
Second Commander of Philippine Military Academy
