[President] Q&A regarding Denmark

Day 2,685, 19:10 Published in Sweden Sweden by Valnad
Why did Sweden suddenly support resistance wars in Danish core regions?

Initial reason: our military was asked to.

But to tell you the truth, the process continued mainly because people wanted somewhere to fight and something to do. There are no other reasons for Sweden to fight Denmark.

A bunch of crazy Swedes decided to get together in a house this weekend and drink lots of booze, waste lots of energy bars and make the basement smell so bad that it will require a hazmat team to make it inhabitable again once the smoke has cleared and the weekend is over.

So what's going to happen next?

All I can say for sure is that Sweden has no hidden agenda here.

Denmark has no resource that Sweden wants and there is no animosity between these two countries - at least not that I know of.

Even though I'm stepping down from the presidency in a week or so, I doubt that my successor will keep shadow boxing Denmark unless both parties wants to continue the fight. If this war remains open it will definitely be the result of some kind of diplomatic agreement between several nations. We all know how one-sided war operations tend to end; they never seem to last for long...

So that's it? You just did it for laughs?

Well, I guess you could say that. Yeah.

Remember that nothing has been lost that can't be repaired. Wars happen, it's such an integral part of the game now that it has become the engine running the whole show.

When this is all over and when my term has come to its end, nothing much will have happened aside from a decent amount of money changing hands through various combat orders.

That, and the fact that two tiny countries ended up giving the eWorld an epic battle or two and hopefully someone had a bit of fun along the way.
