[PotUS] The Half-Way Point & Take Two

Day 1,705, 14:44 Published in USA USA by Evry

America,

Today is an important day for the country. My administration has approached a crossroads. Do we wimp out after a single loss in Manitoba and agree to peace with our neighbors from the North who have demonstrated a blatant disregard for our sovereignty? Or do we go for a fun little trip through Canada sampling their best maple syrup and smoked salmon and try to teach the “nicest” country in the World a lesson in respecting other countries’ sovereignty?

I personally would rather see us defend our honor and respect within the global community rather than pretend nothing happened. Canada repeatedly intruded upon our nation’s sovereignty. First their president published private information and misrepresented our foreign affairs intentions in order to discredit us in the eyes of the global community. An ally does not extort another ally in their own interests, that is the action of someone actively and willingly attempting to cause harm to a nation, and is in no way a friend. Acting like such a thing never happened would be an injustice to ourselves and our people. They have repeatedly attempted to take the moral high ground from this war, when the truth is, this whole thing started during one of Rylde's power trips, where he told our people to "give them a 5th Security Council spot or f*ck off!" Does that sound like a bro? Does that sound like an ally? Absolutely not. That sounds like a selfish administration bent on abusing its allies for its own national gain. Canada is no Bro.

However, just when we thought the water was under the bridge, the leader of Canada’s congress proposed us as their Natural Enemy. Upon receiving this news, I immediately responded with a Natural Enemy proposal of our own. When I became president, I promised to protect the country from harm. That obviously includes shielding us from nations who we previously thought were our friends. Their proposal jumped out to a 12-1 vote in favor of the war. We voted ours up in return, not wanting to get caught with our pants around our ankles. It soon became apparent once the no votes began piling on from our Canadian “brothers” that a trick was amiss. It turned out that they voted it up in the beginning in order to intentionally destroy our MPP stack. Rylde then blamed the entire ordeal on a bribe, and acted as if he didn't want the war from the first place, even though he's advocated for it on multiple occasions. He's been telling our administration he wanted to declare war since the beginning of the CTRL fiasco, and the idea that we 'bribed' a congressmen to get it done is absurd and insulting. I find it funny, that when Rylde wishes to expose an alliance, he publishes a whole charter, but when he exposes a bribe, he doesn't even supply the name of who did the crime. This is a fallacy, and a made up situation, intentionally meant to deceive people of the nature of this conflict. Upon learning of this plan, I decided it was worth the hit to our MPP stack in order to teach Canada a lesson in respecting other countries.

And now, after all this subterfuge and conniving actions they wish to kiss and make up? I think not. They may have won the battle in Manitoba using an immense amount of funds, however, we will win the war. Our second attack on our frozen neighbors will begin shortly. I ask all patriotic Americans to do their part. Anyone who doesn’t in fact wish to help America in its time of need, I request they deploy to Croatia to help them in their battle with Serbia.

I would also like to talk about a few non-War or Foreign Affairs related matters. We just hit the half-way point for my term and despite popular belief, I have been doing other things not related to protecting our honor and making new friends.

The Interior department has been handing out hundreds of thousands of food and tanks to new citizens looking to get on their feet.

The Education department has been educating our youth.

The Department of Defense has been working to make the USAF the most efficient fighting force the country has ever seen.

The Media Department has been informing the populace of important events and news.

And the Technology department made some shiny new toys.

One of those shiny new toys includes a way for the general population to vote on various questions put forth by the Executive branch.

If you would like to have your opinions heard, please check out this link and vote on various pressing issues. http://referendum.eusagovt.com/vote.php

Lastly, I’d like to announce a personnel change within the Executive branch. Secretary of State (MoFA) Tenshibo has stepped down due to personal reasons and has been replaced with Fhaemita Malodorous.

That is all for now America, I look forward to making the last half of this term fun and exciting and I hope you’ll join me in our romp around Canada.
