[PotUS] A Valentine's Day Update

Hey America,

The WHPR has been excellent at providing a steady stream of information as well as updates to all of us, but I’d like to cover some updates in my paper. Before I start, I hope all of you had a great Valentine’s Day with your family and loved ones.

North Korea

We intend to keep North Korea as one of our possessions in the foreseeable future. Having a base of operations in Asia is important for eUS security objectives. However, regions in Indonesia and Japan are in the process of being returned and Russia will be taking over some of the Japanese ones.

Domestic Departments

Both Interior and Education have been excellent and are doing a great job in keeping our citizens informed about their Programs. I strongly encourage all new citizens to participate in these and get free goodies. The Department of Defense has also been active, publishing regular DoD orders, to keep our MUs and citizens updated, with our military priorities.

Slovakia

Slovakia is a small, strategic country in Europe on whom we’ve just declared war. The aim of this war is to provide TP damage with the NE bonus for our citizens, and to occupy some Slovak regions for the foreseeable future. This war also aids our alliance, Pacifica, and provides us a negotiating advantage against Root, who’ve generally been hostile to us.

Most of the wars in eRepublik have generally slowed since the Resource wars ended (the new resources are set by the way, and can be viewed from the economic page), and we’re adapting accordingly. I almost miss the old set of resources, but this will almost certainly allow us to replenish our reserve quicker, so we have that going for us.
