[PM] That’s All Folks!
So here we are, the last full day of term and the last full day you’ll have to put up with me as your overlord. As it is the last day, it’s only fair that we treat you with one of those very rare articles coming from El Presidente himself. In this article we’ll have a look over what’s gone on since the 26th July, the day Jamesw was usurped from this throne, so it’s quite lengthy and there’s no tl;dr for you lazy people. I won’t tell you in here that this was a brilliant term and spin everything that went wrong or make excuses for things that didn’t happen (Unless there is an actual reason), it wasn’t a brilliant term. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but I’m disappointed with how it went in places. Anyway, enough of the attempts to make you all feel sorry, onto the article!
Ireland, a land that has given us many fruits in the past, became a nuisance this month. After the impeachment we continued to hold Ireland’s regions and wiping them when we wanted, you can read all about it up until when they took Northern Ireland the first time around here. Ireland won in Northern Ireland, and if we go through what happened next quickly we can get onto the most important part. Once they took Northern Ireland, they moved onto Wales and successfully took that too. Now that they had Wales they took the West Midlands, this is when the Resistance Wars started coming up in our regions. They then moved onto the South East of England and won that too, this meant that they now had London in their sights and could hit it. Unfortunately for us they did hit London. Luckily for us though we won, and once we had all that Ireland had left of our regions was the South East of England which was successfully RW’d later on. Through a combined effort of supplying citizens (From around the world), to having people tank, we managed to pull it off and secure London, keeping it as one of the few regions to never have fallen.

McAfee once Ireland hit London
Now that we’d regained initiative we wanted to get some lovely fruits back and so we hit Louth. We won that relatively easy and moved onto our next target, the other fruit region, Shannon. Again we won that battle easily and had secured fruits for a few days at least, however when we hit Dublin things went upside down again and we lost, losing the initiative we’d gained back in London. The Irish hit Northern Ireland after they’d regained Louth and Shannon, much to our surprise, and won there too. After Northern Ireland they hit Scotland and we won there, so we had back our initiative. Not only did we win there, but also in the Resistance War for Northern Ireland. We had all our regions back and our eyes were set on securing fruits for the end of term. That’s just what we did; we hit Louth in the evening of the 4th and won there which means you will now be able to enjoy that fruit bonus for at least one day.
That’s Ireland all wrapped up in as short amount as possible, so we’ll just finish off our Foreign Affairs and Military stuff as well. Overall we signed three new MPP’s (Excluding Slovakia which was proposed shortly after the impeachment), which included Spain, Sweden and Estonia. This now means that we have an MPP with all nations in ONE. Earlier in the term we had a successful training war with the Belgians, while we never had a Natural Enemy on them (Ireland), it was a good way to get Belgium on your Mercenary Medal lists and helped in completing a few missions that Admin brought out. Operation Dead Shamrock was a success; this is when we successfully removed Ireland from New Hampshire after being blocked by the USA. Strikes now happen on a regular basis, with which extra supplies are given out for. One thing we did do for the Military (And Militia’s) was to expand upon the Town Hall Scheme and allow those in the Military to go all the way to Q5, while those in Militias to Q4.

Q5 Town Hall is nice, see?
Without making this article too long we’ll move onto Domestics now and depending on how you want to look at it, we did ok. Mentoring did well this month under Top Hat Harry, everyone that applied for help totalled up to 26 (Or near about). That might not sound much but compared to other attempts for mentoring this has been a huge success. The Library Articles that needed updating were updated so they’re all fine now and we also released an award scheme for new guys, there were also several Mass PM’ing campaigns as well that were done. The Ministry of Recruitment also released its Referral Competition which will last for a few more months, so you can still take part. All the info you need to know about it is here. Now let’s move onto the things that I’d rather we didn’t; what never happened. The government site that was supposed to be released was, if slowly, making progress and according to our MoTech it was set to be released for the last week of term. However a problem happened with the Military Hub which went down and Draaglom has since been trying to fix it (Server problems) which has pushed the Government Website behind them in priority. It’s a shame it never got finished as it would have been a key part of this term, however should the next Prime Minister wish to use it then it should be very nearly all set to use. The forum newsletter is another thing that was so close to being finished, but never got released. We were right on schedule before McAfee decided to tell me something about it being released, I spoke to Kumnaa and he was sorting some things out for it but it doesn’t seem it’ll be released this month. Finally there was the idea of giving out free taster supplies to those that aren’t in the Armed Forces, there’s no excuse for it, it just never got done.
That’s everything I can think of that’s happened this term, I’ve probably missed something out but that would be McAfee’s fault. Even though the Irish ruined my evenings for the last two weeks, we have to give it to them for actually making the last half of the term a little more interesting, plus they get extra points for hitting London (They just couldn’t get those points to appear in the battle
). Thanks to everyone that helped out this month, we had a few cabinet changes including the bringing back of the Ministry of Legislative Affairs and the DPM having to take a step back, but everyone seemed to work fine together. Thankfully we had Tom Fletcher keeping the government accountable for, otherwise who knows what mischief we could have gotten up to.
And now I shall fade into obscurity…
Thanks,
El Presidente

and good job o>

Thorrold: greatest PM or greatestest PM?
k
You were fortunate that the conquest of Serbia became priority over London - EDEN and TERRA are on a strong foot. Your ego trip into our regions will eventually bite you in the ass if you don't correct it.
Ya did good : D
Thanks Thorrold, been a pleasure \o
Thorrold, been a good PM to work for. Congrats.
THO THO THO THORRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDD!!!
Not too bad
Ireland, I think you might have left your dignity behind. If you want it, it's being held for you at Kings Cross left luggage.
^^ Lol, love it Keers.
Great job Thorrold. My favourite bit was about me.
Wellesley: Worst comment ever, or worst comment ever?
That said, overall a good term, well done.
interesting term, interesting read - voted
lol at UK trolling a country a fraction of its own size after it nearly took over her capital. Ireland values her allies while the UK values her regions.
Did Ireland value your country when it attacked you then? : 3
