The Express

Since Friday it is something that many of us realised was a growing possibility, Ireland would hit Northern Ireland. Things have moved fast and for those that haven’t followed or just don’t understand what’s happening then this article should clear that all up for you. A little background history for you guys, but when James was in the big chair he managed to wipe Ireland and for the rest of the term, and some of the new one that’s how it stayed. Wiping Ireland, while as fun as it was, wasn’t really doing anything for us so we decided to keep the NE open for the time being and it was working perfectly fine up until last Thursday. Thursday was going to be another normal day as far as we were concerned, Ireland held Dublin and Mayo and we hit Mayo in the evening. When morning came and people started logging in it wasn’t a very pleasant sight. Ireland Croatia/Bulgaria/Greece was winning. This caused some concern because usually we would have been winning by several Minis’, so we called upon a bit of help. Some help was sent (Which won us our third Mini) but it didn’t take long to realise that this wasn’t just Ireland getting a bit lucky overnight, they were getting plenty of help.

There’s no doubt some of you will say that us keeping the NE open caused all this, but that’s simply not true. Whether we kept wiping them or not, something like this would probably have happened anyway. As the day went on the situation in Mayo got worse and eventually we lost (8-3), however a RW that was being fought in Cork ended up with us winning. No regions had changed that day, what had done though was Ireland could now hit the regions we held. Once Cork finished a Resistance War in Louth started which we won, however the Irish queued here and once we’d won they hit and won (8-2). Now all we had left in Ireland was Shannon and Cork, with Shannon now under a RW. We lost in Shannon and another RW started up in our last remaining Irish held region, Cork. We lost that which meant they had all their regions back and now all they had left to attack was us.

Just where we expected in one of the most predictable attacks on Erepublik, Northern Ireland was hit. After what was quite a good first round which we won things started changing and the Mini Battles started being lost. Unfortunately we won no more and lost in Northern Ireland 8-1. At the moment Ireland Croatia/Bulgaria/Greece may be winning these battles, they might continue to for the next few days, we’ll have to wait and see but the UK now has a taste for fruit and we want and will get them back!
