This article should have been released earlier but because McAfee01 was playing our resident drunk and Betafoxtrot continuing his role as the local lunatic it was delayed. In this article we won’t be looking at Ireland and what’s going on over there as this will be more of an article about Domestic things. The Belgium Training War has now finished so you don’t need to worry about those battles anymore either. If you’re looking for more information about Ireland and whatnot, check out the Daily Announcements on the forum. On a small Foreign Affairs note, we’ve renewed our MPP with Poland and currently voting on another MPP renewal, this one with Iran.

New Cabinet Members

The first Cabinet change of the month was Jimbojoy who was leading the Ministry of Recruitment. Luckily for us we managed to get it all sorted early on and get someone to replace him who knew what they wanted. This person is McAfee01 and has already made a great start which you can read all about a little further down. Another new member joined the Cabinet this week not because of one leaving but because Congress abolished the position of Speaker. Now that the Speaker position has been cast into the legislation fire pit, the Ministry of Legislative Affairs has been brought back with Sir Humphrey Appleby leading it. Hopefully we wont have to have anymore changes because everyone is doing tip-top.

Town Hall Scheme

Released shortly after the impeachment back in July, the Town Hall scheme was introduced to help members of our Armed Forces upgrade them and allow them to fight more in one go. We offered them the funds up to Q4 provided they had the other requirements. In my manifesto it was outlined that this scheme would change a bit and that Militia’s too would be able to take part in this as well. In the last few days we’ve brought in this change and now members of Militia’s that have signed up can request the funds to up to Q4, whereas those in the UK Armed Forces now have the ability to go all the way to Q5. The reason why UKAF is Q5 while Militia's are Q4 is that we want to give our Army that little edge over the Militia's.

If you fit the requirements we strongly recommend that you do take part in this. Not only does it help you save a bit of money but it helps you and the country. For each upgrade you’ll be able to hit an extra 10 times on the battlefield which helps you get stronger and the country as a whole. Take advantage of this, it’s there for you.

Referral Competition

Right, what has McAfee been doing then apart from going one pint too far? It’s all about getting us more citizens (As strange as that may seem) through individual efforts. You can read about it more in-depth here but if this works well we could see some significant improvement in the UK’s population. That is of course if as many of you take part as possible, that’s the main thing we have to overcome. In our attempt to encourage lots of you to take part and get the most referrals, we’re offering lots of prizes and lots of money to those that come out on top. The more you refer the more chance you have of winning and the lucky person that gets the most (And reaches Level 6, explained in that link) will get 100 gold. Not too bad, is it?

Education & Entertainment

This month’s entertainment will start on Wednesday for those that signed up to it. It involves lots of different games that we haven’t done before with the final being an “Elite Poker Match”. If you’ve signed up keep an eye out here for more information. For those that aren’t signed up but would like to take part, message the organiser (Cliffy the Clown) and see if you can sort something out with him as there are a few more spaces going. It should be good fun with a great prize for the winner.

Education now and the Ministry of Home Affairs will be doing more Library Articles in the next few days. Keep an eye out for them as they’ll all be fully updated and are a great way to learn more about the game. The Mentoring Department is doing great at the moment and according to the Department boss (Top Hat Harry), they’re getting quite a few applications coming in for a mentor. After seeing some Mentoring Programmes attempt to start in the last few months, they’ve all fallen flat quite quickly, this doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen this month and we hope its success so far continues.
