Greetings again eUK

I’m not going to lie, it has been a rough week for the eUK and our alliance, TWO, in general. We are currently faced with a near wiped Serbia and a resurgent Circle of Trust. This sadly negatively affected our allies Australia and our own Airstrike, as well as preventing Iran from landing. Lets face it, though, if we had not faced a breakdown across the TWO Empire we would have easily crushed Indonesia and would still be there.

Many have criticised my ‘wasting’ so much of the eUK’s money, I would like to say that I did not spend any of the UK’s cash on getting the Airstrike funded, indeed a large proportion of the funding came from TWO directly in order for us to launch this Airstrike. I am not sure I made this clear enough, but the assistance we received was not for us to have an Airstrike for ourselves, but for an operation which we were spearheading. At the end of the day, the entire operation was for us to help Australia out. Unfortunately shortly after landing Circle of Trust decided to give us a reminder that they are actually an alliance and gave TWO a kicking. We drew one of the shorter straws, although our situation is nowhere near the position of Serbia.

Home Affairs
Despite criticism of their performance, they are working hard and pumping out articles and messages in quick succession, which is great to see. I asked for my Minister to occupy an administrative role within this Ministry something FightandProduce has proved he can do. He has been keeping the entire team on track and getting on with producing those cracking articles.

I would also like to say that I am both dreading and excited about the impending interview I am sure Wookie0 has planned for me..


Bohemond4 responds to critics

Foreign Affairs
Most of what this Ministry does happens behind closed doors meeting with those shadowy figures we call ‘TWO HQ’ and ‘Foreign Diplomats’ ensuring that things run smoothly, where possible, with our allies and even between our allies. Both Thomas765 and McAfee01 have done a stellar job in this area.

Thomas765 has also been busy working on the newspaper angle of the Ministry publishing reports for the nation to peruse and learn more about wider affairs. This has been an area a lot of people feel like they do not know what is happening which makes this public angle almost as important as the diplomacy they undertake with our allies.

Finances
Carlini has done a great job here and I am very pleased to see him running for Prime Minister next month. The Finance team has issued 26 Training Ground loans with some of the gold loaned already beginning to come back in. Carlini has also prepared a spreadsheet detailing all our spendings and income, which you can review here which you can explore our finances in.

Defence
Defence has been criticised recently too over what was one bad day. Overall this month regular orders have been issued with regard to TWO, and the eUK’s priorities. During the so-called breakdown in orders I was glad to see the eUK’s units showing initiative and fighting smart when it became clear that Croatia was looking to free Shannon, against Ireland’s wishes they moved orders to this battle. I was also glad to see that we managed to keep Wales under Polish control as our buffer region.

There is currently a discussion going on the eUK forums as to a National Military Unit.

Health
There is not a lot to say about Health other than it is continuing as normal and plenty of people are being supplied! We have currently on the roll 163 young citizens and more signing up every day. So please, continue to donate to CottonPicken our current Minister of Health to keep feeding those babies.

I also think that this is very apt for the situation
