[PEACE GC] Happy Birthday, PEACE GC!

Day 644, 21:35 Published in Hungary Portugal by Arthk

Today is a happy day! PEACE GC celebrates its first birthday and we would like to invite you to celebrate with us.

What we celebrate today is not military victories, conquered regions, or accumulated gold. What we celebrate today is unity, strength, but most of all friendship. This birthday would have been impossible without the vast number of people who have never stayed impartial to PEACE's existence in this game. For the past twelve months hundreds of people have entered the forums and the chats of our organization and we can say with certainty that most of them have made at least one or two friends in the time spent with us. Many other people have never entered the official communication channels of PEACE but have silently supported us in good and bad times and we at PEACE are proud to call ourselves their friends. Others have never been part of PEACE and have always been on the other side of the barricades but without them this alliance would have never been what it turned out to be- a much-respected organization, which is a household name all over the eRepublik world. We would like to thank all players of this game without whom PEACE would have been just another unsuccessful project.

On this date exactly a year ago 14 countries came together to become the founding members of an alliance that over time became the strongest union in the world of eRepublik. PEACE GC has overcome numerous obstacles and threats to its existence. We have become a perfect example for Nietzsche's thought "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." We started out in the position of the weaker ones. It was time when Romania, Sweden, Spain, etc. dominated the eworld and we were merely trying to protect our independence. That common goal brought us together and made us stronger. We became a formidable force by gaining strength day after day. Strength that has been shown not once or twice. A lot of us still remember the sleepless nights during the French Toast and Burning Spirit days; the lost nerves over many heroic battles such as the ones for WSR, Sardinia, Vojvodina, and, most recently, Ontario; the advances and retreats during the various world wars. These fights made us work together as one far more than once or twice. They made us smile, they made us laugh and, admittedly, sometimes they made us scream with anger together.

All this and a lot more has been a lot of fun and, personally, the writer of this message knows that the game would not have been nearly as entertaining without all the friendships that PEACE has created within the last year (and yes, you know that no matter which side you fight for, you have talked with other people about PEACE).

Thank you, everyone,
PEACE GC

P.S.: Don't drink too much in our honor. We'd hate to have anything bad happen to you because of us🙂
