[Opinion] Why we should use forums

Day 2,755, 15:13 Published in Japan Japan by DankEvergreen

eJapan is a eNation made up of people from all over the world, mostly gathering here with a common interest of Japanese culture. eCitizens of eJapan log on in various timezone, making live discussions on IRC pretty difficult. Information gets spread thin and in most cases with limited access. Private messages (PMs), google documents, and newspapers, have replaced eNational forums, something I believe to be very unorganized and hard to follow. PMs only give access to those invited, no public access, sometimes end up with multiple topics in a mile long scroll, and only able to be archived by screens. However, google docs can be opened to the public, if you are given the link that is, but it offers no discussion platform. Newspapers, the next best thing providing a comment section for discussion and public access for all, including the rest of the eWorld. Maybe not the best place for information that only eCitizens of eJapan and our allies need to see

The eCitizens of eJapan need a place where our information is gathered in an accessible but secure location. With a eNational forum, we will be able to keep our information secure from intruders while giving full access to the eCitizens of eJapan. Political discussions where all can view and take part, political parties get their own private section (or open if they choose to), secure place for MoD and other ministries to conduct their work while giving citizens an idea on what's going on. On top of all that, it also gives us a place to socialize for fun; the forums can easily be a one stop shop for government transparency with information security.

Joining the forums is SIMPLE, and only takes a minute, please support the expansion of eJapan's community, government transparency, information accessibility, and eNational security.
