[Official statement] The lending of Urals to Romania

Day 486, 08:40 Published in Norway Norway by heivoll

As many of you have seen, Norway declared war to Romania, who then attacked Urals region (which was given by the president pushing the retreat button). This was, of course, a planned action to temporarily let Romania control this region.

The reason for this was that Romania (from loosing several regions) needed the resources available in Urals more than we do at the moment, and can be seen as a pure economical help to Romania. The region is to be given back to Norway later, when the situation has changed (don't worry, it will indeed be given back). The whole process was democraticly discussed and voted for in the Congress, where only one single vote was against this action.

Already some people have been commenting in newspapers and elsewhere trying to make it look like this was something we were tricked, or pushed into by Romania. This is of course not true. There is nothing wrong with helping a close ally in need. Romania is one of our best allies, and we have no doubt that they would do the same for us (they've already given us lots of military support earlier). Atlantis-haters will definitely try to make it look like we're Romania's puppets, but that's merely something in between of envy and bitterness; no-one looses on this, besides Romania's enemies; our enemies.

For a strong relationship between both nations.
