[OFFICIAL POLL] Name the union!

Day 632, 06:41 Published in Malaysia Malaysia by Prime Minister's Department
Please vote this article with everything and also please take part in the poll!

The article where you could make suggestions for the name of the country has been up long enough now I think to start with the actual poll that will decide about the official name of the union.

Info about the poll

- Only citizen accounts with either Malaysian or Thai citizenship can take part in the poll.
. You send your vote by commenting under this article.
- Everyone can nominate 3 names, the order counts (your first choice gets 3 points, the 3rd one).
- The poll will be up for two days, it closes on Day 634 at 07:00 Erepublik time.
- I've grouped the very similar suggestions together as I think it will show a better picture of which name citizens favour.

Proposed names

a, Union of Malaysia and Thailand (UMT) or Union of Thailand and Malaysia (UTM) or Federal Republic of Malaysia and Thailand (FRMT)

b, Commonwealth/Confederation/Coalition of South East Asia (CSEA) or Union of South East Asia (USEA) or SEAsia or United States of SEA (USSEA) or Federal Republic of South East Asia (FRSEA)

c, Thailaysia

d, Siam or People's Republic of Siam

e, Southeast Asia Republic (SAR)

f, Malayland, Malailand, Mayland

g, Malathaisea

h, MaiThai, MalaThai or Malay-Thai (with Union added at the end maybe)
(*using Malay or Mala alone in the name might be offending to some Malaysian minorities)

i, Malaysia-Thailand Confederation of Peace and Unity (MTCPU)

An example vote

1. g
2. b
3. h

Or you can write out the favoured names as well.

Once we are done with this round a shorter poll will be held to choose the exact name from the chosen group (if the winning choice has more variations). What I wanted to achieve with the grouping is to avoid a situation where most people would like a certain kind of name but because of fragmenting their votes among slight variations a less popular kind of name wins. Also hopefully I included all serious suggestions.

Let the voting begin!

Best regards,
Nagyzee
