Greetings to all friends, old and new. This would be the first of a series of newspapers introducing Taiwan, where most eROC players are from. It is really quite a brilliant place, and we hope you enjoy the articles. 🙂

We are currently having a cultural exchange with Italy, so greetings, our Italian friends! 🙂



Taiwan, also known as Formosa (beautiful island) back in the day, is an island located on the west edge of the Pacific Ocean.



Its marine tropical climate gives our residents hot and humid summers and relatively mild winters.



The eastern part of Taiwan is generally covered by rugged mountain terrains, where it peaks in the middle and ease into the plains on the west side.



There are many beautiful types of scenery in Taiwan. Northern Taiwan, where the capital, Taipei, is located, is a busy city with a population of 6.5 million people, including its surrounding city, New Taipei City. Here is a view of the tallest building, Taipei 101 and its surrounding.

The central part of Taiwan, its biggest city being Taichung with a population of 2.6 million people, along with the mountains there, is home of many famous scenic spots, including the sun moon lake:

The southern part of Taiwan, where it used to be the biggest ports, is now the second biggest district in Taiwan, with Kaohsiung, population of 2.7 million people, being its biggest city:
