\o/ Alliance Overview: PanAm \o/

Hey homies!
As part of my job in ssomo's UIP Cabinet, I will be gathering information relating to eUS foreign affairs and publishing it here. This could range from the most basic summaries and descriptions of alliances, to alliance interactions, to interviews with foreign dignitaries. It really just depends on how much time I have free on any given day.
Anyway, let's dive right into it, shall we?

The primary focus of this article will be another review of an alliance, and of its member countries.

PanAm
Fairly new on the global stage--- although still older than NWO--- PanAm is currently composed of nine member nations: USA, Brazil, France, Canada, Argentina, Turkey, Russia, United Kingdom, and Japan. The alliance began after Brazil and Argentina left Phoenix; freed up, they signed up with the eUS. This is why the alliance has been dubbed, "PanAm," for the last several months, even though more than half of the member nations are now outside of the American continent. The alliance is currently in the process of choosing a new, more accurately descriptive name.
As it is composed of countries from both sides of the formerly traditional bi-polar international political spectrum, PanAm's foreign affairs and interrelations form a complex web, with member countries often having friendly histories with nations that stand opposed to other members of PanAm. Recently, there have been rumors of internal fracturing due to differing amounts of military aid sent during important battles, but it is unlikely that this will cause the alliance to collapse.

United States of America -- We, along with Brazil and Argentina, were the founding members of PanAm. For many months before the founding of the alliance, USA had survived as a formally neutral country; we left EDEN to pursue our own interests, so we were free of any obstacles that might hold us back from forming a new alliance with members "from the other side." During the last few months, a group of formerly Turkish citizens calling themselves "iNCi" has taken up residency within the USA; as they are currently undergoing a babyboom, they possess a substantial amount of influence, and have recently declared political war on the native American population, citing a resistance of the administration to aid Turkey against Greece--- in addition to a bit of mild drama--- as the cause. As of the writing of this article, it remains to be seen just how much damage iNCi will be able to carry out against the native community. The USA is among the hardest-hitting nations in PanAm, with a large and highly structured military, as well as several government-funded private militias.

Brazil -- As I said above, Brazil left Phoenix with Argentina, and a couple weeks later became a founding member of PanAm. Being from the Phoenix bloc, this country started off not having terribly great relations with the USA, but this has changed drastically over the months due in large part to a great deal of positive propaganda; both the USA and Brazil put significant effort into cozying up to each other after creating PanAm, and the effects of it today are quite obvious. Brazil is also a member of BIA, an informal quasi-alliance/friendship between Brazil, Indonesia, and Argentina. Brazil is among the hardest-hitters in PanAm, possessing a large and highly structured military.

France -- France has a long, but not necessarily uber close, friendship with most members of the Phoenix bloc, and used to be a member of that alliance. France currently has very strong relations with the United Kingdom, and petitioned on the UK's behalf for it to be admitted to PanAm. At one point in time, France was nearly completely conquered by Poland and Spain (now members of NWO), which pushed the country into opposition of New World Order. France is fairly strong militarily, and ranks near the top of the middle of PanAm members in terms of potential damage output.

Canada -- A close friend of the USA for a very long time, Canada and the USA went down in flames together during the invasion of World War III, and then cooperated to make a comeback and regain their regions. They also founded the Brolliance, an informal alliance based on mutual respect and brotherhood. Canada is probably the USA's closest and most loyal ally in the game. They stuck around in EDEN for a while before finally joining the USA in PanAm, otherwise they likely would have also been a founding member. Canada has a moderately powerful military, along with a couple large militias. Overall, they rank somewhere in the middle of PanAm members in terms of potential damage output.

Argentina -- Argentina broke away from Phoenix, along with Brazil, and became the third founding member of PanAm. The country is pretty tight with Brazil, and still maintains friendships with most of their former Phoenix allies. Additionally, Argentina is a member of BIA, an informal quasi-alliance/friendship between Brazil, Indonesia, and Argentina. This friendship has contributed to the recent fracturing in intra-PanAm relations due to Indonesia's invasion of the USA. Argentina's moderate military might puts them solidly in the middle of PanAm powers.

Turkey -- Also from the Phoenix bloc, Turkey was the seventh country to join PanAm. There is much drama in the eUS over whether or not an MPP is necessary with Turkey, as it might cause complications with our other MPPs; as well, Turkey has been the long-time nemesis of the USA's traditional ally, Greece. In fact, last month, Greece completely wiped Turkey from the map, conquering all of its regions. Turkey has since gained back a few regions, but many are still occupied. A peace treaty between the two nations has been in the works for quite some time, with extensive negotiations occurring, but a settlement has yet to be reached. Turkey is a middling power in PanAm, able to lay down a moderate amount of damage and possessing a capable military.

Russia -- Russia has historically been a bit of a black sheep in international politics. While a member of PEACE, it had the entirety of Atlantis/EDEN against it, and yet its most valuable iron regions were occupied for almost a year by it's "allies" in PEACE, Hungary and Serbia. And yet, in spite of participating in the invasion of North America during World War III, Russia and the USA seem to have moved beyond their past differences and found solidarity in PanAm. More recently, there was an ongoing war between Russia and the Ukraine; with Ukraine having officially joined EDEN just a few days ago, one more small conflict between PanAm and EDEN is stoked. Russia lies near the lower end of PanAm, in terms of damage infliction capabilities, but they do have a small organized military.

United Kingdom -- The UK has a very dramatic history. While originally a member of Atlantis, alongside countries like USA, Canada, and Spain, they switched sides to PEACE at the beginning of World War III when they let Hungary pass through their borders to invade North America. While the rest of Atlantis/EDEN viewed this as a traitorous and despicable act, it was actually a sensible move by the UK to preserve national sovereignty. As this occurred way back when, most citizens from both sides have long since gotten over it, or weren't around back then in the first place. At any rate, with France's help, UK successfully gained entrance to PanAm, turning its back on former allies from Phoenix like Serbia and Hungary. The UK has a relatively small active player-base, which leads to a small--- although still highly organized, and in possession of a few tanks--- military and damage output.

Japan -- Japan was the first country not on the continent of America to join PanAm. It has an early history of neutrality, having served as a buffer between the continents of Asia and America. They eventually sided with EDEN to let the USA through to invade and occupy certain regions of Russia, as well as enter the South Asian hemisphere. While very exhaustive negotiations were involved in this, it firmly sided Japan against PEACE. It would go on to join EDEN, the Brolliance, and, eventually, PanAm. The current president of Japan, Alfred Ball, used to reside in the USA, and was a founding member of the SEES movement (before it became an actual political party). While Japan does have a small core of active citizens, it is most definitely at the lower end of PanAm, in terms of raw damage capability. It does boast a small military, but it's just that: small.

That's about all for now. I'll be publishing more of these in the near future, so stay tuned! And don't forget to:

- Turkey have ZERO regions.
- No settlement about peace treaty.
- Turkey have ZERO power in PANAM, because no exists anymore.
wakabayashii, instead of telling me to shut up, go and ask your own citizens if they ever wanted to be in Panam or not. I think you already know the answer.
Turkey should be kicked out of Panam.

The turkish issue has been more a dividing factor than a positive one if you ask me.
Great job with the article, bro...great comments too!
Turkey should be on your dinner table, not there as a guest.

Are there any Turks left in Turkey?
The last I checked, most Turks were over here in the US forming a state within a state and trying to PTO us.
Throw them out of PANAM
