[NoTie] Continue the Dutch Spring!

Dear citizens,
Some may be surprised (or not even aware) that I am running for Country President once again. I was never a fan of serving as Country President for months consecutively (hence my CP terms being spread over more than 3 years), but I felt the need to call on you to continue my mandate. Now more than ever, we need a strong governmental team with 100% dedication, to make up for our small size. With our increasing international responsibilities - be it within Orion, or safeguarding our independence against (neighbouring) enemies - it's not the time for the eNetherlands to fall back in the passivity we've seen before the German invasion back in May/June 2015.
I believe I am the correct, and perhaps the only candidate on the ballot, to continue the course we've since then set in the eNetherlands. I am 100% dedicated to the eNetherlands, be it financially, damage-wise or time-wise. Not many other candidates in the eNetherlands can say that they have regulated almost all battles in the last half-year to a victory and beyond, or funded almost every single MPP that falls outside of our budget. I am not the type of person to brag and regularly have let take others the credit for that, but now that so much is at stake I think it's legitimate to confront the eNetherlands with the facts.
I am not going to make a manifest with vague schemes and plans, most of which never gets realized. It's simple what will happen in another NoTie term: High international participation in the form of MPPs and military operations, high domestic activity by the top-notch activity of the government. Basically: exactly what we've seen over the last months and has brought us to heights we've never seen in our eHistory. The choice is upon you, eNetherlands, if you want that to continue, or want to descend into a Dutch Fall.

no it wasnt. It was the first since ages tho since the standing policy by the then ruling party I&W was to give our lands away to anyone nearby. We were fully occupied. Getting a MPP was considered a waste and was considered to be something 'to switch on' in times when WE were in need, not when our allies needed it. THAT changed. That change is quite remarkable.
So no, not the first in history, but u cant deny our policy changed a lot since then, since ReL became aftbrw

Oh this nonsense rhetoric again... You probably didn't look at the facts as MPPs were signed in the terms before yours as well.
It is not the mindset that changed the situation, it's the ability to pay for those MPPs (and the CO's). With just 3/4 MPPs you are not going to make it, especially without CO's. Those allies were in the same situation and were better of paying for different MPPs than one with us ofc.
Don't get me wrong, I like the current situation, but I very much dislike it when people start patting themselves on their back for changes that were not in their hands to start with.

Sweden does not like us and never will. They have denied us membership to an alliance before. Why they dont like us? Dunno, but come end this month we will be booted from Orion.

We've shown we're willing to jump into war for our allies, so I assume the Swedish congress won't be as negative about us aas they were before...
So I guess we have a good chance of being accepted by all of the other members...
Still there clearly is a big difference between the Swedish gov and their congress. So we'll still have to see what will happen.
Why dont we talk to eSweden about that? We are fighting for them against the Danish and they are fighting against us, literally. Obviously Acreteq will win again in tomorrow's elections, so as soon as possible should get in touch with them. His government will not just change his mind about us.

I'm may be missing your point, but after your very first term as CP you immediately ran for CP again.
How can you now claim that you were never a fan of consecutive terms?

There were 2 candidates on the ballot. The other candidate, Arcanic Mindje had announced he'd be continuing your foreign affairs. So in that sense your statement makes no real sense...
By now Arcanic has deleted his article, and has published a new one announcing that he will not really be running, as he couldn't find a MoD. So just put a full stop after "on the ballot" and remove the rest of the sentence.

I believe congress's patience with you may be running out. You pushed through some proposals in a highly dubious manner. So we'll see if you will be allowed to continue with this...

You can safeguard your independence by not attacking other countries after they made a deal not to attack eNL.
An unwritten and ad hoc deal which was relevant 3 weeks ago, when Croatia and Spain bullied BOTH the UK and NL into ''agreeing'' to it. Now if you want an actual non-aggression pact, feel free to discuss that between the UK & NL.

Whether it was unwritten or ad hoc, your independence was never threatened by the eUK.
Well, that's just the reality of the situation: NL and the UK can't threaten the independence of each other and I never said that was the case.
FYI: we never had a NAP at all. Please challenge me to a real one and I will uphold it, until then it are just empty words. Relations between our countries are still good, despite that we are enemies, so I don't see a reason why that wouldn't be a possibility. 🙂

Germany seems like a formidable enemy (relatively to us) on the other side of the alliances, just like the UK, so I don't see why that is not a thing? Now, GER-NL are not that interested in a war with each other; I don't see why it can't be the same for eNL & eUK. Germany and NL needed a good war too before they realized that 😉
The eUK has never even discussed the possibility of a war with eNL before you guys attacked us. We weren't interested in a war with eNL so your line about us needing to be attacked to realise we don't need a war with eNL isn't true.
You simply used this 'safeguarding independence' line to attack us unprovoked.
The UK has plenty of times discussed the possibility of attacking the eNL, e.g. instead of attacking France when Hungary was coming for you.
Also that safeguarding independence line is not specifically directed towards the UK. You might not have noticed, but we're a small country easily preyed on. Be it Germany or Italy in the past, or Spain and Croatia recently.
I can't remember exactly when the Hungary invasion was, but discussing a possibility (one which definitely didn't happen anyway) certainly doesn't mean we were going to invade. I don't even know if that was even discussed in congress at the time.
Maybe you should be looking at countries that have directly tried to attack you, not people who may have discussed it briefly with little to no actual intent to carry it out.
