Congratulations, President Wild Owl
I was never going to win this election. For a minute, there, I became delusional, and seriously discussed Cabinet positions with some really great people. We woulda made a fantastic team.
But from the first minutes of voting, Wild Owl pulled ahead, got further ahead, and left me in a cloud of dust till he was but a speck on the horizon.
67% of the total votes cast does sound impressive. It is impressive.
Except for these two minor details.
We had less voters this month. Maybe Americans are tired of foregone conclusions.
Wild Owl soundly tromped four losers. Seriously-- me, Devil, Ajay and Troll? Really?
So, Congratulations, President Wild Owl.
And congratulations, America.
zzz-ZZZ-zzz….
Wake me up next month
Here’s the only bit of my campaign articles I’ll hang onto.
“The Establishment” is not only the same people in the same jobs forever, but more so it’s those people doing the same thing the same way forever. This sh-t’s gotta change.
Maybe something I said this week has resonated with the people, or the President. Maybe something I said made sense. Maybe we’ll have a big, fat, glorious War that’ll stimulate every aspect of the game.
Or not. In which case, I’ll be back. And much better prepared.

Most new people are not going to keep their activity up if they get treated like idiots for not knowing every single thing in the world on their very first forum post.
Learn to game is not a helpful message but it is a fluffy message.
Is there a plan to put new people in positions where they can succeed? I am sure that anyone that did an eRep job for the first time made a mistake or ten. To expect every n00b to do better than a vet is really fun! Great job!

I do like seeing new and new-ish players in every Department. no better way to get a handle on how all this works than having a view from inside. and, really, because it does involve actual work, it's not an easy ride.. weeds out the bullshitters and allows the worthy ones to rise.
I'd still like to hear more of your own thoughts on some of the points in your platform. Immigration and JCS topics are of particular interest.
JCS is what I'd like to read.
I no longer believe in immigration. We only do blocking unless you have a personal friend now.

I voted custer at 5:30 am and you had already lost.
On the upside I do not need to pay attention battle orders or press reports for another month. The US is very well disciplined and no matter what, 67% will hit within minutes of any order, I am good if I sit around.
I didn't agree with every point of your platform, but I like your overall ideas quite a lot.
I look forward to seeing you run again.

These are our slow months
President Wild Owl is doing a fine job. The eNation is very stable.
Maybe things are a little boring, but that's fine. Boring is better than losing. Sometimes too much excitement keeps me up at night.
When Wild Owl gets tired of this stuff (or the US gets tired of him), who's next?
from reading the PDB on Wild Owl's first day (before access was revoked) it looked like his team was assembling and organizing very quickly.
the Dept of Interior hit the media immediately with announcement of all its programs, and again today as BeachBunny revived Bewbs for Newbs.
I'm pretty excited to see this term get off to such a start, and am anxious to see more.
