[New Players] Join us on IRC

In my last article, I charged Congressmen to act in a certain way, and to prioritize their game time according to what their position means in current day eRepublik. As much as I wish we were back in the 'good old days' of Beta and early v1 when the game was new and mechanics open to numerous interpretations, that isn't the case any more.

In that vein, I'm going to be opening up my IRC room to any player, new and old alike, who might have questions about the game...or who just wants somewhere else to talk to people. It's easy to remember the name, #Pfeiffer. If you don't have an IRC link installed - CLICK HERE TO JOIN.

I've always kept the list of room moderators fairly short, and always people who have been around a while and understand the game. I'll be adding more people as they (read as: if they) join, and new players who spend some time with us and start to get a grasp on things will be bumped up to 'voice' access as a sign that one of the higher Operators feels like they're starting to lose that odd smell that floats around the uninitiated.

To recap - new and old players alike should join us in #Pfeiffer to chit chat about the game (or other stuff, doesn't really matter). I'm hoping that once we get a consistent number of people in the chat we can organize some games, quizzes, whatever. Maybe even pop on Steam over a weekend for some Civilization games or something.
