Day 1,665, 06:57 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Blue And Evil

Hello, and welcome to this, the first report from the Ministry of Retention.

The Ministry of Retention was formed as an independent branch of the MoHA with a mandate to help new players through their first days of the game and get them involved in the eUK community. So, firstly, let me tell you about what help you can get when you're new to the game, then I'll move onto the report proper.

All UK citizens in their first 2 months of the game are entitled to received 40 Q5 food every day FREE from the government. That's enough to restore 400 health every day, so you can work in your companies and fight the wars. You can apply by clicking HERE.

Just fill out the form, and that's it, we'll send you your free food every evening.

A Helping Hand

When you sign up for the NHS, you'll also have the option of requesting a mentor – an experienced player who'll help you along and answer any questions you may have. All you have to do is check the relevant box on the NHS application.

And for anyone already signed up to the NHS, you'll be contacted by PM to see if you too would like to be put in touch with a mentor.

The Big Award Show

Achievements. Everyone likes achievements in their computer games. And now, eRepublik has them too. If you're a new player, registered after 1st January 2012, and a citizen of the eUK, you can claim a cash reward for completing various Achievements – Things like earning medals, joining a political party, fighting for your country. Apply for your rewards HERE.

Ministry Report

As mentioned, the Ministry of Retention acts as a branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This means that when people sign up to help out the MoHA staff, they'll also be helping the MoR. Sign up to help out on the forums. Jobs you'd be doing for the MoR include distributing supplies with the NHS, messaging new players and acting as a mentor.
And if just being a nice person isn't incentive enough to get you involved, we now pay you for helping out with certain jobs.

As per jamesw's manifesto, the NHS has been extended to last for 2 months instead of 1. Some people have expressed concern that this will lead to a 'doubling' of the cost of the NHS, but let me put these fears to rest. New signups who've reached one month don't automatically get the second, they get contacted telling them their run on the NHS is complete, but there's another month of supplies available for them if they still need it. This way only people who actively respond and feel they still need help receive it. So far, of the 25 people who've reached the end of their first month on the NHS since this Ministry was formed on June 6th and been offered a second month, 8 have accepted.

The NHS currently costs about 10-11k GBP per day. This is quite a large portion of the national budget, however this, and other schemes we run, are investing in our future. It's attracting new names and faces to stick around and get involved.

With the new military changes, our young players in Division I are more important than ever. The NHS gives the eUK a massive advantage in this Division, since young players can now make a difference, and we're already ready to get our youngsters supplied, armed, and winning fights in Division I.
