Failure of Ireland-UK Peace Treaty
In the past number of days we have been in touch with the UK Administration to try come to a peaceful settlement over the war that is currently on-going between the two countries.

Despite the willingness of the UK administration to take a "long term" approach and support the terms of this treaty, UK congress have overwhelmingly rejected the offer. The proposal seemed set to pass in Irish congress but as it has been rejected on the UK side, that is now irrelevant.

I won't go into the specifics here(though a UK congressman has reportedly seen fit to leak the information anyways), but I'll just say that the deal was a more than fair one and that the UK(and her allies) would have benefited from it in the long term.

The failure of this treaty leaves us in a war with the UK for at least the foreseeable future.

Ireland would like to re-affirm it's commitment to our allies and we will try to send our damage to help them whenever we possibly can.
