Join the new world

Hello fellow citizens of the eNetherlands,

This month the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made it a top priority to reach out and to get to know some of our Aurora allies for the benefit of the eDutch citizens and the Government of the eNetherlands as well. To do this, we have interviewed the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of several Aurora nations and will be doing a series of these interviews over the course of the rest of this month.

Our first interview is with the Minister of Foreign Affairs for eChile, Pescaman. Pescaman joined eRepublik on 28 April 2012 and is a member of the Fuerzas Armadas Zippystas Military Unit.


1. How long have you been playing eRepublik?


Since 2012. That year, Chile had two big BB, and I started to play with a huge amount of new players.


2. What brought you to eRepublik and what keeps you playing the game?


I saw an advice promoting erepublik. It talked about a game of strategic and war. I had some time, and i was played another game online as OGAME or Travian..so, I got an account, thinking to find a game full of action every day, ofc i spent all my gold and bars. I forgot my account for several days...and then..I back, and i’m still here..


3. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement in eRepublik?


Be part of the collective effort of e-chileans when could back to South America from Australia and we deleted to Argentina. I remember those days, playing hard with a great and compromised group of friends in our coordination channels of different divisions. When we erased to Argentina for first time it was a great achievement for us, a kind of revenge of a lot months trying and trying again and again. I think that first victory was a little but significative contribution to change this game.


4. What do you think about the eNetherlands as a country? Do you believe your citizens feel they know about eNL or would they like to know more?


I suspect echileans dont know too much about eNL. We haven't had yet the chance to share too much in battles or campaigns or even to read about our e-countries. Our MPP is an attempt to know better each other, trying to build relationship.


5. What do you believe would be the best way to strengthen the relationship even more between eChile and the eNetherlands?


Fighting mates. I could tell you that articles are useful (i'm an e-journalist), however the best way to build friendship ingame is fighting hard for ur allies. Military cooperation is the real key.


6. What would you say about eChile to help eNL citizens to be able to know more about your country?


For a lot of time, we were fighting in a kind of "epic" way. After we achieved our main objectives we were trapped into an eternal war which had lose some sense and different chileans govs. started to work hard for several last months to change that way. Now, we have a group of soldiers with experience, and our players wanna have fun, are looking for challenges to try to defeat good enemies in smart and good campaigns. We are not haters, we don't have deep RL issues, eR is a game for us.


7. As you may know, we recently held a referendum in the eNetherlands in which eNL citizens showed support for joining the Aurora Alliance. Do you have any advice to give to our eNation to build not only a stronger relationship with eChile but with Aurora and the other member nations in Aurora?


It's not an easy question. Our relationship with Aurora is based first in a strong friendship with some of their members that has been built for years. I think the recipe is a mix of enthusiasm and compromise. Even a small nation could play a key role in eR thanks to mechanics as the AS or just giving support in some rounds in important Campaigns. The point is to be there, asking, proposing, being proactive, risking and taking options to have fun.


8. What is your message to the Government of the eNetherlands?


We hope this term we could be able to know better each other. We invite to the NL gov and to all the MU and people of eNL to participate in our campaigns. NL in RL is a country full of freedom, just bring some of that attitude to the game, and fight for Aurora and Chile ofc XD.
