[MoFA] Getting to know eItaly!

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

This article is the last article in our getting-to-know-series of this month. We, as the foreign affairs team, hope that the articles did their job, as in informing you, the people.

Hereby we, as ministry of foreign affairs, want to thank you already for this month. It was a month with a lot of dialogue, which was of course very needed.


The first interview is from the Italian MoFA Atlius il Drago Dormiente.

1. How long do you play eRepublik, and how have you experienced the game in all that time?
I played this game since 2010 also if I was forced to be absent for a certain period of time. What I experienced may be said both epic and most unfortunate. There's much to improve in this game!

2. Tell something about your country, so that the people of the eNetherlands can get a good image of your country.
Ahahaha, well, who doesn't know Italy? We have pizza, mandolino and mafia...isn't it? We do not use mandolino anymore, true pizza now can be found only into narrow streets, and mafia...well mafia is still in our RL Congress...

3. What’s your opinion about the relation with the Netherlands?
I know you had a very hard time in this browser game, we're quite far to be good allies but never say never, I sincerely prefer Netherlands to England (for example) but that's only my opinion so...be queit xD

4. How do you think we can improve the relation between the Netherlands and your country?
Well, we may try to do a cultural exchange with articles and other stuff like this.

5. Would you like to see the Netherlands in the Aurora alliance?
Obviously yes! But then what about Poland?

6. Do you think we can actually join Aurora?
I think yes but AURORA wants you to sign every MPP so...that could be a problem for countries like eItaly and eNetherlands

7. If so, how do you think we need to achieve that?
You should go for a referendum and I suggest you to improve your relationships also with Spain and Poland.

8. If you believe we can make it into Aurora, how much time will it take to achieve it?
Two moths? We used 3 Months to gradually join AURORA...but we're italians, we're slow 🙂

9. Where can people find you on IRC?
I really don't like IRC so I'm in that f****g chat little time but, #eitaly-MoFA and #erepublik-it should serve 🙂

10. Do you have anything left to say to the people of the Netherlands?
Hey! Please hate italians! They travel to Amsterdam just to "use" whores and drugs, please teach them you're more than a libertine country, show them your culture and beautiful landscapes!


The next interview is with the Italian MoD andreami8.

1. How long do you play eRepublik, and how have you experienced the game in all that time?
I play since May 30 2013. I held various positions: MoHA, two times dMoHA, ten month ambassador in different countries, one time dMoD, different roles in my party, four time congressman, actually I'm in the HQ of one of the top4 MU of Italy and now I'm the eItalian MoD.

2. Tell something about your country, so that the people of the eNetherlands can get a good image of your country.
eItaly is a good state but we are in a terrible position. We are surrounded by the strongest nations of the game, so it was difficult stay on the map. Now, thanks to the arrival in Europe of Chile and the help of our tanks and allies, we are in a beautiful moment. We are one of the nations best organized of the game, we have a very busy forum and a lot of laws very specific (this isn't always an advantage 😃). Unfortunately we have few d3 and d4 but (the few that there are) are very strong.

3. What’s your opinion about the relation with the Netherlands?
I don't know very much about Netherlands but it would be nice improve the relation between the our countries 😉.

4. How do you think we can improve the relation between the Netherlands and your country?
The most important thing to improve our relation is that the eItalian citizens meet the eNetherlands citizens in chat, and talk together.

5. Would you like to see the Netherlands in the Aurora alliance?
Yes, why not? Netherlands is a nation without big war so it would be a big help for our alliance (and if you have problem Aurora will help you) 😉.

6. Do you think we can actually join Aurora?
Maybe, because Aurora want that all the nations sign mpps with all the Aurora's members. I don't know your economic situation but also for Italy is difficult.

7. If so, how do you think we need to achieve that?
You have to make a referendum, if it will have a positive outcome the Aurora's members will vote for your entry.

8. If you believe we can make it into Aurora, how much time will it take to achieve it?
It depends on you but about 1 month (I think).

9. Where can people find you on IRC?
You can find the minister of defense on #FOT, where citizens coordinate during the battles.
The MoFA is on #ITA.MoFA, the official eItalian channel is #erepublik-it and you can find (maybe) the MoI on #tutor, the channel where the new players learn how to play.

10. Do you have anything left to say to the people of the Netherlands?
The most important thing in the game, for me, is the community. A strong community (especially in countries with few citizens) can do a lot. So try to talk with each other in chat and organizes games with them. Another important thing is meet player from other countries, you can learn more from the other nations 😉.

The last interview is with the Italian president VanBaz

1. How long do you play eRepublik, and how have you experienced the game in all that time?
I'm in the "magical erep-world" from January 2013. I'm arrived when erepublik was just in a long period of decadence as the veterans say. But anyway I have appreciated the game and with time an privations I've done a decent career, I've been CM several times, Italian Consul for European Zone, vMoFA (3times), vMoD, MoD and now CP.

2. Tell something about your country, so that the people of the eNetherlands can get a good image of your country.
My Country is simply crazy 😃 ... as people we have great ideas, resources, creativity and imaginatioin, but...there is always a BUT speaking about Italy we are often a divided community, we fight each other...so as I always say when a speak to my people: "we have great potential, we are our worst enemy"

3. What’s your opinion about the relation with the Netherlands?
Honestly I think that we have to build a real, deep and truly friendly relation with Netherland. I hope that this article could be a step.

4. How do you think we can improve the relation between the Netherlands and your country?
Two ways: speak each other and build friendy relations or/and have common interests.

5. Would you like to see the Netherlands in the Aurora alliance?
I really don't know, I've not prejudice, but it isn't important what I think. I can't reply this questions, I'm not Dutch, you have to know what you wanna do.

8. If you believe we can make it into Aurora, how much time will it take to achieve it?
😃 ...now Aurora is thinking about creation of ProAurora zone, so that could be the first step in the next future. If Aurora is your goal speak with all the Alliance CPs, but first of all with SG and SC.
I can't speak about time or about future, I'm not a prophet, sorry I really don't know.

10. Do you have anything left to say to the people of the Netherlands?
Try to win almost this World Cup in Brazil 😃 ...It's a joke...seriously: follow your ideas and fight with honor
