It’s been a bloody busy week for Woldy as 11 MPPs are reaffirmed over the last week, causing the first fall in the Treasury for the current term. Happily, however, our tax base is slowly growing at an average of £1/2k a week which should provide a fairly healthy economy for us to rely on come the next emergency...
Anyway, onto the graph:-

After the infamous warmongering states Japan and Montenegro decided to eye up our neighbour Belgium we have invoked our treaty obligations under the NSPP to protect them, duly seizing flanders from the Montenegrins and forcing the Japanese around the negotiating table with Belgium lest we decide to give them a bigger dose of their own medicine.
For the moment we will be eagerly collecting taxes from our occupied friend and probably reluctantly hand them back over again. Hopefully Fataliix will be drunk when he makes the arrangements...
Bank of England Trust
The ridiculous surge in gold prices has more or less evaporated back down to £277/g from their peak at £335/g. Our efforts to cash in on this has more or less missed the action, our offers currently on page 15 from 183 on the monetary market. We still stand to make a modest profit of £5,400 on each the 7 orgs we’re currently using in the Trust, bringing in £37,800 should prices remain similar at the time of transaction.
Military Unit Suppliers Rebate
As this will require Parliamentary approval and their elections are tomorrow this will be a matter for the new House of Commons to deliberate on the 26th. For the moment I will be getting in contact with our major MUs to see how much we would be looking at refunding.

It is with great annoyance that it appears the apparent eager new eUKer Lord of Bones was in fact a multi. All the orgs have been re-secured as necessary and I apologise to the public for his involvement in this department given the obvious trust that was placed in his hands.

Good to hear the tax base is growing but always better to turn a profit. Hopefully in the near future it will. Shame Lord of Bones was a multi but as long as Bank of England hasn't been looted then hey-ho not much can be done about that.
I doubt we're going to sign another 11 MPPs next week so should hopefully have a healthy profit to report by then 🙂

Are you ever going to post these from the official orgs? Our reserves are laughable and already you're talking about spending even more on rebates that until now, I'm yet to see anyone ask for.
wasn't on the computer with gdoc access when I typed this up I don't think anyone other than you seems to care where these are published anyway.
This rebate would most likely be under £200/day. There are a number of supply issues for some of our MUs that they have been in contact about returning the funds used for WAM. This is a matter for congress apparently but I don't see the issue in such a small rebate for people who use their companies for the defence of the community.
At a risk of stating the obvious, gold prices will drop during and immediately after the upcoming competition. Fingers crossed the MoF can still make a profit, however modest that may be.
