[MoEd] Guide to Freedom Fighter Achievement

Day 2,244, 23:26 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Department for Education

The most recent Achievement created in this game is the Freedom Fighter Achievement, which is often shortened to FF. Below is our guide to help you reach this achievement and gain the medal and a shiny 5 gold.

How To Win It

The concept is simple enough. Fight for the resistance side in a resistance war and successfully win that war. For the first medal, you must defeat 25 opponents in 3 wars (these 25 can be accumulated in different battles, but must be in the same war). For the second medal, it is 50 in 3 wars, and the third is 75 in 3 wars. Then for the fourth, it is 25 in 4 wars and so on. After 24 medals are won, the cycle resets (goes back to 25 opponents in 3 wars and so on). For a chart that describes this, read the admin update for this here.

Dos And Don’ts

If you are actively searching for a Freedom Fighter medal, there are several dos and don’ts.

Don’t Fight against our allies! It is tempting to do so, but it is not worth putting our allies at risk. There is a caveat, which is that if it is certain the battle will be won by the resistance, you might as well get 5 gold out of it.
Do Wait until the end to fight. This will increase the chances of knowing if the battle, and perhaps the war will be successful.
Do Use weapons to fight. It will defeat your opponents faster and in some cases is cost effective (see below).
Don’t Fight for the defending side. As already mentioned, the medal only counts towards fighting for the resistance. If you defend a resistance war, you will not get the medal.
Do Follow battle orders first. Subscribe to the MoD to know your orders to help our country and allies. Searching for FFs should be a secondary objective.

Cost Analysis

Other than bazookas and WMDs, the easiest way to defeat an opponent is with a Q7 weapon. As of now, the cost of one of these is 16.50GBP. While the number of fights to defeat an opponent varies, let’s say the average is two. A Q7 weapon lasts 10 fights, so each Q7 can defeat on average 5 opponents. This means you need 5 Q7s to defeat 25 opponents. This comes out to 82.50GBP. So, to gain the first medal will cost you 247.50GBP (assuming all 3 wars end up successfully). Achieving a Freedom Fighter medal gives you 5 gold, which is roughly 1000GBP. So while it is profitable at first, it will end up costing more in weapons than the reward in gold when you have to defeat 75 opponents in 5 battles (1237.50GBP). Knowing this data, you can plug in how much it will cost to get a medal with this simple formula:

82.5 x A x B = Cost

A is how many opponents must be defeated, where 25=1, 50=2, and 75=3.
B is how many successful wars you need to fight.

Let’s take an example. You are trying to get the achievement where you need to defeat 50 enemies over 6 wars. So you would do 82.5 x 2 x 6 =990GBP.

NOTE: As you can tell, this does not include the cost of food. So be sure to stock up on food and take those costs into consideration!

We hope this helps you better understand the Freedom Fighter Achievements. Good luck!
