Dear citizens of eAustria

You all must have noticed by now that v2 has arrived...and against our predictions the New World didn't cease to exist. Unfortunately it confronts us with some new problems of the likes which have never been seen before. Let me put it this way, everything in the MoD department has bee reset in other words we need to restart at 0.
V2 features an entirely different war module which many find confusing and few interesting. With this eRepublik also doesn't look like a browser game anymore.
However it is important that we adapt to this new system as fast as possible, because there is only one iron-clad rule right now:whoever adapts the fastest will be victorious!

Therefore we need to reorganize ourselves to mobilize our forces and control our strength in times of war (believe me those are soon to come).

Now you might be asking yourself these questions:
Again?!How many times do we have to do this?

Well it is unfortunate, but since v2 came out (and I have to say earlier than I had expected) the old system won't work anymore. With the addition of different skills such as tank driver or helicopter pilot we need to take the different skills into account while forming our squads.

Will I have to send the same information as usual?

Well no. As I have said before things are going to change, since the addition of new military skills.
For those of you who are new to this game, you will need to send a PM to this org:

Your PM must contain information about yourself which enables us (the minister of defense and the 2 secretaries of defense) to divide you into squads (stengthwise, according to activity etc.). The list of needed information can be found at a the bottom of this article.

How do I become a squad leader and what does a squad leader need to do?

You can become a squad leader by simply saying so in your application. To be a squad leader you have to be actively playing eRepublik. This not only involves spending more than 15 minutes a day playing this game, but also involves being active on IRC (for those of you who don't know IRC is a chat which is often used to discuss ePolitics; we will try to use it to distribute orders; the Austrian chanel on IRC is: #eAustria).
As a squad leader you command a team of 4 soldiers. You are allowed to give them orders in battle, but at the same time need to forward orders coming from the ministry of defense (please note that the MoD's orders are always superior to those of a squad leader). The main duty of a squad leader however is to ditribute wepons to his subordinates. You will recieve those weapons from the headquarters on the day of a war (this doesn't include trainig wars) and then you'll have to send them to your squad immediately. Since this requires free inventory slots (slots you may not have on your citizen account) it would help if you had an organisation (it costs 5 gold to create one).

Here is the list of the required information. You can find it all on your profile page. Please try to fill it out as accurately as possible to save me the work (it is already a lot without complications):

citizen name: unless you have amnesia this shouldn't be much of a problem
profile link: it is actually a number at the end of your profile-page's adress
e.g. erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/random number
total damage: how much damage you have done in battle so far in your whole eLife
skill: the military skill you ave chosen and the number you got
(please don't list names like "Ranger" just the number). If you developed more than one skill
list all of your skills. We don't need military ranks anymore (NOTE: military ranks Field
marshal, General etc.)
interest in becoming a squad leader: Yes or No is sufficient
officer org.(optional): in case you wan't to become a squad leader add the name of your org.;
you don't need to have an org. yet it increases your chances of getting the job.
hours of activity (including the time you spend on eRepublik related IRC channels): say how
many hours and when you are usually online (morning, noon, afternoon).
Are you in Congress/Are you our president?😛lease say if you are so we can put you in a special squad.
