[MoD] First Address, Updates and Competitions

Foreword

The president, Edana Savage, has been nice enough to appoint myself to the role of Minister of Defence and Sean Power as the Chief of Staff. I believe as a team myself and sean can accomplish a lot and will not let the country down. I will be concentrating on raising the spirits of soldiers, gaining more soldiers and getting a few deployments going. The IDF has been left isa good condition after the implementation of the "Master Plan," so my work is little compared to last months.

To Digits, John Jay and Kavrocks

Thank your for all the time and effort you put into making the IDF API and implementating the "Master Plan" because of this my workload this term is greatly reduced and the IDF forces are in good shape and much easier to maintain. I hope to continue on from your successes from last time and mabye add some improvements. Sadly Digits has now left and will be 2 clicking, Ireland is grateful for what he has done. Even worse John Jay has stayed xD.

That was light humour, I will refrain from it in the future.

Join the IDF!


Ireland needs you to join the IDF, answer her call!!!!


Whats the IDF?
The Irish Defence Forces is the army which defends Ireland and it's allies from invasion.

What's in it for me?
In the IDF you get to travel and while on missions, free weapons. You also get to be part of a group and expierience the commaraderie.

Why is it worth it?
There is no better feeling than fighting for a just cause. Fighting to defend weak nations and expieriencing the honour, acclaim and bloodrush is well worth it.

Why is the IDF needed?
Ireland needs a strong IDF in case of the invasion of Ireland. If we don't have many strong soldiers we will easily be taken. Also it is needed to defend other nations in peril.

New Division Logos

I am going to start creating new division logos for each division in the IDF. So far I have finished the "Na Fianna" logo which is a Gaelic roundshield which would of been of the type the ancient Fianna warriors would have had. I added the IDF symbol embossed in the middle as a ornate boss. I want to closely link the logos with the division name although that will be hard to do in the regulars.



Here is a generic bass logo I created for the regulars. I would like each CO to PM me with ideas.



Video Competition

I would like to start a competition to design a video for the IDF in eRepublik. I thought I would start one of these when I saw many other countries have videos for their armies. With the feature for youtube videos to be added to articles, nothing better attracts potential recruits than videos, they grasp your attention more. This competition is going to be ongoing for a few weeks so start making them now! The prize is 200IEP

Orders

1. Download the Orders Script for your respective division here.

2. Friend request the Department of Defence so you can listen to the shouts

3. Fight in the wargames until instructed otherwise via article, orders script, shout or pm.

4.Follow this routine every day:
Train > Fight down to 40-50 wellness > Use hospital > Work
