[minor erepublik update] 2 new changes to eRepublik
First steps in eRepublik
Dear readers
As some of you have seen, 2 new changes (as far as I can tell) have been made to the erepublik module.
The first one is the new friends list. It has been given a cosmetic update. In the past it sometimes bugged the pictures (at least for me) and that seems solved now. I also like the new lay-out a lot more than the previous one. It's a lot more stylish, even though the old one has been the same since beta and gave me a somewhat nostalgic feeling, this one falls nice in place with the new layout for the "vote" and "sub" buttons
The only problem I seem to have now is that the names are in alphabetical order and not in order of when I invited them. It could maybe prove useful if the user has a chance to chose (alphabetical, alive/dead, strenght,..) to sort his friends on. I contacted the admin team about this and they said that for the moment it is still uncertain that such things will be added but the erep team is reviewing it. Let's hope for it guys!
The second update is a change in the Daily orders. When completing the DO's and killing 25 enemy soldiers, players now get 5 bazooka parts in stead of 1 already build bazooka. This is a good improvement imo. Especially for newer players, this improves their chances at ever achieving that much desired Battle hero medal and makes them compete-worthy to the big master-card players (at least to some extend). One of the admins also informed me that the main reason this new change was done, was to make it harder for clones. New players who join up will first need to complete a few missions before they can make bazooka's, making it a lot harder for the multi farms to create an army of 10k-striking-clones that can shift the tides of war on crucial moments.
I am personally very pleased with this second change. I think it offers great opportunities for newer players while also showing that the admin team does indeed actively try to take action against multi-farms we've been hearing so much complaining about recently.

SMALL EDIT: In case I wasn't clear enough: you get 1 of each bazooka part. So in essence you still get 1 bazooka (like before), the only change is that you can assemble (and use) it whenever you want. Something you couldn't do earlier

Yea, I sent too a ticket for look again the true "Invited friends". Now they are mixed with other friends. Voted.

it's a pitty you can't select a specific page in your friends list, you can only click "next" or "previous"
I hope the bazooka parts will be equally divided, not like the parts you find on the battlefield (263 trigger kits and only 4 rockets atm)

looks like a good update. The bazooka update is a good move that no one could complain about and the friend list, although not really important is ok. You get less depressed now when you open page one (it used to be filled with dead people for me. Now they're spread across the entire list)

So , alphabetical order for friendlist without any "alphabetical tool research butt'on* (yep there is a troll somewhere, will u find it? ^^ ) , what if ur friend's name is starting with a Z ??? and u have more than 3k friends???

i'm so tried that even good ideas are allways half of them due to lack of capacity in programming or worst that they don't think about it.
Choice of parts for the bazooka would be real sweet
Actually, daily order reward is not so much a problem for multipleaccounts or bots. Missions for newborns is a problem.
and yeah, like you said - you get all parts. For one mission, you need to get all parts and then you get bazooka. So I see this change more usefull for bots : ]
0rinda: it's harder for bots. The missions have changed and new players can't make bazooka's before they reach +- lvl 20
How you contact admins and get replies? I always get automated replies for my tickets with suggestions.

It would also be nice if you find bazooka parts that it is really random. Currently it is clear that some parts you almost never get while other parts you get all the time. Ofcourse they do this so you would spend gold to buy the missing parts but they could do it a little bit less obvious.
Don't they pretend you get random parts? If it would be random you wouldn't get 80 items of one part while only getting 3 units of another part. Maybe 50-30 is possible but 80-3 makes it clear that they have programmed it in such a way that you have less change to get one part than another.
Can't you ask the admin about this?

Now we can use the bazooka when we need but... still missing the improvement that will allow us to decide how many bazookas we want to use!!!

we need single assembly option yes. We also need some way to acquire parts that we simlpy never get given. It's always ONE part short no matter how many of the others I seem to get, the same was true with toolboxes and at the time they decided to get rid of those I could have made 30 of them had I ever got a single saw... right now the same with bazookas... I could probably make 20 or more but one part just never appears but rarely...
