[MDP] Thordan for Congress

Day 1,678, 17:49 Published in Canada Canada by Thordan

Hello fellow eCanadians,

My name is Thordan and welcome to my first ever article. In the past I never had a reason to spend the 2 gold to get a newspaper company but it seems things have changed. Since my return to eRepublik just over a week ago I have found myself doing many things differently. For those of you who don’t remember, or know me at all, I was once a very active member of eCanada before I quit about 1.5 years ago. During my peak I held the Director of Canadian Security Intelligence Service, a national agency that dealt in only the highest of priorities. Before I ended up leaving, I was dealing with a lot with an unruly congress (multiple PTO’s, congressmen overstepping their abilities, etc). At the time it simply enforced my non-political stance, but now I simply see it as in effective politicians and their party leaders.

There were a lot of physical changes to eRepublik that I’m still getting use to, but it seems the forums haven’t changed as much. Congressmen are still squabbling over this and that; getting nothing done except see who can yell the loudest. Since CSIS is no longer around, I’ve decided to dedicate my focus to helping clean up congress and get things passed to help our country. It was an obvious decision of which party to align myself with, Military Dictatorship Party. Their singularity focus combined with the individuality of a warrior hits home with me. The driving force of an entire party focused to one singular task is exactly what is needed.

I hadn’t planned to officially run for congress until next month, but when I saw that MDP still had a seat open I knew it was fate. With entering the elections so late, and not getting an article out until now; I won’t be surprised if I don’t get elected. That isn’t to say I’m not expecting a close race though. If it does turn out I don’t get elected this term then you will defiantly see me next term, campaigning hard for a unified eCanada. So, if you support a unified party, congress, and eCanada as a whole, then vote for me, and vote MDP.
