[McAfee01] Chase The Ace ~ A Domestic Manifesto

Day 1,351, 17:35 Published in United Kingdom USA by McAfee01

Good evening compadres

As we start our journey through my manifesto for worldwide domination country president, I thought I’d stay conventional and go for zeh Domestics (because you’re worth it). However, as a sidenote, I would like to stress that I’m not as awful a boss as I am a human being, and as such, stress that should consider applying for my ministerial team (information on cabinet positions can be found here) both via in-game PM and forum messaging.

Finally, following a discussion with Jimbojoy, I would like to open up a joint MoR position to work alongside him for the following month. Same rules apply xD

Anyone, to business.

I would first like to move on to one of my juicier highlights of my introduction article, the Ministry of Communicative & Legislative Affairs. And as I specified, I will be looking at repealing Section 2 of the Leadership Act. However, its reintroduction is at this present time, a legislative issue, which will require the review and backing of congress themselves if it is to go ahead (so don’t worry SHA). However, as the recent incident with a rogue speaker has proven, the position is fraught with complications, and when incidents like this happen conventional procedure is often ignored, and we face the issue of exactly whom should be held accountable for appointing unstable or irresponsible people to the position.

My arguments for the removal of the Congressional Speaker are as follows; it has simply become a position where the most popular wins, rather than who is the most capable. (

Reintroducing the MoLA will incorporate all current speaker roles (as expected), alongside working alongside other ministries to help transparency (as part of the Increased Communication of ministries), as well as maintaining a sense of accountability via the Prime Minister, in which will see us provide information on all relevant matters to the eUnited Kingdom direct to each citizen. Although the recent surveys introduced by Daniel Thorrold’s interim government has set a precedent, I would like to take us that stage beyond, through a stream of PMing, surveys and other matters of contact that [fully involves every citizens on the development and decision making processes of our nation, rather than just the select few who are forum active[/b].

On the recruitment front, I would first like to sound my appreciation to Jimbojoy for all his hard work on his commitment to implementing our national forum newsletter and to develop our own personal recruitment campaign. However, as with any job, more can be done, and we must press on to further develop our recruitment strategies. On that note, I feel that implementing strategies from professional gaming websites could replicate some kind of results for our nation. A prime example of this form of strategy would be the introduction of the eUK’s very first referral competition, where players who refer any friends, family or random acquaintances to join our glorious nation will go head to head to win some glorious prizes (terms and conditions tbd).

Now, for something completely new. Something so amazing, it will literally make you scream from joy. Oh... you thought I had roz on webcam? Well, I tried, but she reported me to some prudish Canadian enforcement agency called the CSIS, who threatened me with a $150,000 Canadian dollar fine if I did not cooperate (which, for even more bizarre reason, is about £2.50 in the real world, for which I could not afford), so let’s throw a new MoHA department at you.

This department (which commonly will be referred to as the Department of Gaming) will help target a yet unexplored sector of gaming that the government has yet failed to utilise for entertainment or retention purposes. That sector will prioritise in the world of PC or Console gaming, in which will try and cover the socialisation aspect usually not covered by the conventional games operated by the entertainment wing (such as forum or browser games), for which will also organise gaming events for members of the eUK.

It will involve using our steam page, as well as exploring xbox and playstation gaming. It will involve short survey work, finding out which games and console;s are popular, then organising simple tournaments, fifa, call of duty, civilisation, supreme commander, and other such games that offer the opportunity to play multiplayer. We can offer cash prizes to the winners of tournaments, as well as encouraging and utilising independent games between enthusiastic members of our community.

This will aid our domestic efforts on all three of the key fronts; entertainment will obviously be boosted, retention will be increased as new players see that although we may not all share an enthusiasm for eRepublik itself, we also operate as a gaming community, and lastly it could even be used for recruitment - to attract new players to our gaming community and thus to eRep.

I’d like to thank you for reading this blockbuster of a Domestics manifesto. Although Thorrold has already one uped me by already including his economics alongside his home affairs, I firmly believe that the ever changing environment we face, delaying economics till last is the best resort.

Other than that, Anything Goes

Jus’ sayin’
