What's the purpose of "Free Train Forever" at lvl 201?

you'd never have to use gold for training, gold that otherwise you might use for tanking or for starting up companies

So is it common that players have 200+ level but no business infrastructure for self-sustainance?

I doubt game would like people to invest in companies,.

I was surprised as well to find players with no weapons factories whatsoever (merely some q2 food companies) and ranking quite up high in the levels list

As for the game having a direction in terms of economy and investments...I can only say that the game wants anything that will pull the gold out of it

Then that "whaleistic" people needs special attention, therefore contracts and packs. eRep has KPIs, A/B testings and metrics unlike us after all.

And for game, I had more implied that game prefers you to inwaste your money in pointless wars.
