[Irish Army] New Supply System - Open to Bootcamp!

Members of the Irish Army and Bootcamp,

*Beginning on Day 2054 those enrolled in the Army's supply structure will no longer be required to fill out the daily Supply Form in order to receive supplies!* Information on how it works is given below "Objective and reasoning"

Due to the ingenuity and hard work of the Army's logistics department - sir adriano prette, Ian E Coleman and Appleman - the Army is in procession of an automatically updating tool which calculates each commune worker's earned supplies based on their previous day stats.

The system holds great potential for tracking the progress of our soldiers and giving them resources relevant to their gaming style - due to ease of monitoring, the supply system has great potential for young players who require specific resources and advise to progress the most effectively at low levels - Bootcamp Commander Ian Arbuckle agrees. Hence, with great anticipation, Bootcamp members will be allowed to join the Army's supply structure WITHOUT the need to change Military Unit!



Objective and reasoning: In continued efforts to streamline game-play and open doors to different game styles, the Army first introduced the Battle Centre to allow easy access to the IRC world as well as keeping all important links in one place to avoid clutter of bookmarks.

The next step was to relaunch Daily Strikes on #Irisharmy to give a community building activity but also provide coordinated and "fast response" tactics at the country's disposal. Current Strike Times are at 00:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 20:00 eRep Time - 5 Q7 tanks given for attendance. We are looking to expand the Strike Leader team at present, but that will come out in a latter update.

We have improved access to information and coordination with these additions, and now the Army is addressing the different styles of gameplay associated with different Divisions;

The Army's current supply gives two options - 10 Q7 tanks or 40 IEP - the alternative supply of IEP was to provide traveling money due to increasing demand for mobile fighters. However, a noticeable consequence was an increase in lower Divisions joining the Supply Network and a different pattern of requests between Divisions 2-3 against Division 4 was plain to see.

✯ Division 4 players have no progression to a higher division, therefore, their only focus is increasing their damage per Q7 hit - hence Strength Gain and Rank Gain are the main focus points of their resources. High Q7 tank supply is desired for maximum rank gain.

✯ Divisions 1,2 and 3 on the other hand do not want to progress to higher Divisions without improving their damage per Q7 hit. If you ask a Division 4 player with 2000 strength his contribution to the battlefield, he would probably cry. Therefore, Divisions 1, 2 and 3 focus on Strength Gain and Minimal Experience Gain. The benefits of Rank Gain to damage per hit are not worth the faster progression to Division 4. Access to funds for training is more desirable than a constant high Q7 tank supply.

The next section of this update deals with how the supply works and how this new method of supply will accommodate these different gaming styles.



How Supplies Are Calculated
The stats website egov4you gives the best method of establishing the number of Q7 tank used by a player; Total Influence / Damage done per Q7 Hit. In the image below you can see the last 7 days of "Tank hits" done by ReleaseTheKrakken:



The calculation done shows he is owed 10 Q7 tanks (the current maximum supply). This is calculated by dividing "Tank hits" by 10, as 1 Tank hit = 1 press of the fight button with a Q7 tank. Hence 100 "Tank hits" = 10 Q7 tanks. The supply is capped at 10 Q7 tanks.

However, the alternative supply is 40 IEP. In the image below, you can see the last 7 days of "Tank hits" doen by Ray DeRozan:



Ray did no Tank hits the previous day, therefore the Q7 Tanks Earned calculation has reduced to Zero - but the IEP Earned has risen to 40 IEP. But you may have noticed, Ray has not fought for the last 7 days, what is to say he is still active/working? No work, no supply afterall!

Apart from our own records of worker activity, the boys in the lab have thought of everything and added an activity indicator. In the image below, you can see the last 7 days of "Tank hits" done by Frankie Macadelic18:



You can see Frankie is active by his last 7 days of Tank hits, but it just so happens that yesterday he forgot to login! The activity indicator is tied to our worker records and experience gain - it has came up Red, while the others have came up Green.

But the next question: What if I work, and fight, but do not do 100 Tank Hits to obtain the full 10 Q7 tank supply? Such as only completing the Daily Orders each day will not likely fulfill 100 Tank Hits. In the image below, you can see the last 7 days of "Tank hits" done by Appleman:



Yesterday Appleman fought and did 76 Tank Hits, rounded up, that is 80 Tank Hits which equals 8 Q7 Tanks Earned. But that is only 80% of the allocation of Q7 Tanks available. In the accordance with the "Objectives and reasoning" as well as the ever present aim to use resources efficiently, giving unused Q7 tanks is a wasted of Army resources (especially considering members can obtain 5 Q7 tank supply at a Daily Strike) as well as non-relevant resources for the player. Therefore, the calculation done is the remaining 20% of unsent Q7 tank allocation is taken from the 40 IEP supply - and 20% of 40 IEP = 8 IEP. Supply comes out as 8 Q7 tanks and 8 IEP.

For Bootcamp, adjustments have been made to separate Army and Bootcamp members into different groups (A and B ) for ease of the Bootcamp Commander and IA Officers to identity younger players, displayed below for the sake of it:



What is shown is the foundation template of the tool created by the Logistics Team - undoubtedly this method is not as flexible in the sense a player might want travel money, but still fights each day, hence the current supply form will be changed to accommodate irregularities. However the potential of use of this tool is great, and hats off to the Logistics Team for this excellent resource.

Where on the egov4you site are you finding those stats? I was able to find myself, but not my daily combat stats.

Also, is this only for commune workers?

If you search your ingame name it comes up.

And at the moment, this tool is being used to supply so only commune workers included. Future objective is to use a similar tool to track stats for army games and promotions etc, but for now, its use is supply.

Ok, thank you. I left the commune system when I kept getting fired. It's a real morale killer when you suck so bad you can't hold a 1 IEP/day job

You could collaborate total influence, tank hits and experience gain in a complex equation - Origin of damage isn't exactly the focus point, but its something which can be refined - Not sure how much of a problem it is (or will be) with members not using 10 Q7 tanks but getting the 10 Q7 tank supply because of bombs/rockets/Guerilla fights. Certainly something to look out for, good spot.

This system makes it more difficult to earn gold through Battle Hero awards. It needs an option to buy Q7 tanks at a price of 10 per 40 IEP so that you can use up your accumulated candy bars to achieve a concentrated damage to be Battle Hero.
Otherwise - good work!
