[Inwegen4POTUS] Executives Touching New Players *UPDATED*

UPDATE at bottom
Hello America,

It’s good to see you again. The past few days have been quite hectic for me. The international foreign policy status quo has been broken on multiple fronts. Our congress has passed the PANAM charter and we are officially a founding member. Other alliances are dissolving or getting there. Power nations like Hungary have left Phoenix, and EDEN nations are beginning to make alternate plans. We have a solid foundation with PANAM. Our future is secure.

But that is not what I’m here to talk to you about. While international affairs is the primary concern of the country president, there is plenty of work to be done on the home front. I have a few specific ideas to lay out before you, ideas that will augment the current domestic departments and programs already in place. Without further ado...

White House Press Conferences

Over the summer, former Press Secretary David Landon started a program that was basically a live press conference on IRC. This presented an opportunity for the President and his cabinet to field questions from aspiring journalists, concerned citizens, and even White House staffers that wanted their concerns address publicly. I believe these type of events encourage younger players to get active on IRC and involved in their government and country. It’s undeniable that IRC is foundational to actively playing this game. I’ll be starting this up again, and I’m excited for it. Let’s get the youth active in chatting with their government and one another.

Revive ICCCR

There has been a lot of debate over the current workings of the FEC. While Congress should be the ones to sort that out, one way to augment it is the ICCCR. Long ago the ICCCR existed as an independent group that helped parties and the public figure out who their best candidates for Congress were, and encouraged the support of those candidates. This is something we should begin doing again, and my Chief of Staff PrincessMedyPi will be leading the way.

Out of Game Outreach

My opponent, Haliman has a plan called “Clickaholics” to use two-clickers as mass messengers for the nation. While this is an admirable suggestion, the fact of the matter is we have the technology that would allow about 3 or 4 to people to easily message the entire nation every night, if there’s the need.

Instead, what we should be doing is recruiting more out of the game. We need people to join the “REACH” program that posts sign-up links around the web, we need people to create unique content like Youtube videos and eRep related graphics that will catch on and spread throughout the internet, we need to hit recruiting with the same vigor as during WW3. This will be central focus of my domestic plan, and one that will surely pay off in the long term for the strength of out nation.

There are a lot of other things that go on domestically in a nation. This is but a small taste of what I plan to add to the programs that already exist. If you’d like to get involved, we have the Government Job Interest Application. This program has been in existence for quite some time and the best way for us to bring in new players to serve with our Deputies and Secretaries.

Please let me know what you think! Feel free to send me a message or join me on IRC at #Inwegen4POTUS

Update:
Many have criticised my choice of CRoy as VP. I think he shows some real promise as a potential future president. Many have said that he will receive access to my account (not legal by game rules) and will be my successor. These are all false. Any decisions are my final say. Just because he would be the VP does not mean his word is final. The final word is always the President's. If I were to go afk, I would be sure to put one of our brightest minds in the care of my account (also, we all know the real was presidential access works. If you don't ask in a PM).

Just because CRoy is my VP doesn't mean he gets 100% access to everything. I believe he has strong potential to be a president and needs some further guidance on the ins and outs of being a president. My word would always be final. If anyone tells you any any different, they are liars and should not be trusted as a source of quality intellectual depth or knowledge.
