Comrades & Collogues

I would like to thank the Independent Labour Party members for entrusting me, once again, with the Party Presidency. Also commiserations to the other candidates...it is always important that voters have a choice.

First off I must thank Liam Tatlock who maintained the unity of our Party since the Take Over and along with the Leadership Board, of which I was a member, we kept our Party together and maintained (even if it was not the goal) the No. 1 spot.

However during this time the control of the Party was held, necessarily so, rigidly tight and kept to just a few.

It is now time to relax this grip somewhat but still keeping the Party safe from Take Overs and to try make sure trolls, scammers and thieves do not gain positions of responsibility.

To this end expect another article from me, detailing my plans, in a few days.

Now down to business.

1. Leadership Board
I am reappointing the ILP Leadership Board of Liam Tatlock, Raven Anarcho, Gerald Smyth and myself.

2. Congress Elections
I am asking that any ILP member who wants to run for Congress to candidate themselves. While I cannot guarantee any candidate a top spot on the list we once again will use the tried and tested formula to decide the order. But first you must candidate so do it NOW.

3. Country President Elections
The process for deciding who the ILP will support had already started under my predecessor. This process will continue.

And now a little bit of History,

Read about the Battle of Cable Street
"...in Cable Street in the East End of London. It was a clash between the Metropolitan Police, overseeing a march by the British Union of Fascists, led by Oswald Mosley, and anti-fascists, including local Jewish, socialist, anarchist, Irish and communist groups."

One of the groups opposing the fascist scum was The Independent Labour Party

I would also like to mention The Word in my article.

Until next time
