Sam, I didn't approve of everything you did (It would be really weird if I had), but I opposed your getting thrown under the bus, especially since it had nothing to do with the matter at hand you were accused of. Right after Scrab came in, he basically just sped up and doubled your policies that everyone apparently hated.

Uncle Sam, the trick is that you have to win. Then congress is happy. If you had thrown another 500+ gold and won, then you'd have been a hero, even though you wasted more.

This is only only the small piece of a larger plan Sam. Although you had a larger plan as well, it was not as well conceived as Scrab's plan. I was in your cabinet and I have been in Scrab's cabinet. You only delegated and looked to yourself for your plans. Scrab has continually worked with the military and formulated a plan they all agreed on and thought was worth the effort. You told the military what they would do for you. Scrab brought together a strong cabinet and has made sure everyone got together to flesh out plans. You couldn't get everyone together and made your own plans that failed.

The Executive may be completely in charge, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't rely on the expertise and hard work of others to get things done. I'm not saying the impeachment was right, but I am saying the way you chose to run the Executive branch was.

I think you were impeached because you didn't communicate well with Congress. People gave other reasons, but this is the real reason.

i thought it was wrong that he was impeached.... i remember those days, that around when i started playing (right before the war with mexico). He was just the scapegoat that America pointed to at the time.... we were all embarrassed about the loss, plus our reputation was hit, we were just mad and Sam was the one who ended up paying the price... shame.... he could've done good for the country in my opinion

Actually we impeached you because it was a worthless war and you failed to communicate with Congress in any way. Not only is Cromstar (i.e. the equivalent of me during your reign of terror) given access to high level information, but Scrabman and Harrison continue to brief Congress on a semi-frequent basis. In other words, Scrabman succeeds where you failed.

@ Uncle Sam: people love success and don't ask about its price.

You spent a lot of money and failed, so the sin for which you got impeached was failure, not unwise spending.

When several such costly victories deplete the treasury the people may start asking questions, but until then Scrabman is hero and jingoistic gung-ho is the fashionable eAmerican attitude.

Also Scrabman's failure in FER was close fail, not epic fail like yours in Mexico, so it was easier to present as a draw or partial victory.

And let's not forget he uses public funds to bribe a lot of people into liking him and singing his praise - he sent several military units to Turkey, not just 4 buddies like you did in that WSR battle.

to those people saying it was wasted money. It was 432 Gold that went to American Tanks, in a mission that was successful where we did indeed take a region of high iron away from PEACE.

I consider it hypocrisy not to treat Scrabman the same way, but alas, I'm only one voice. His attempt at Russia failed all the same; just because it was close and we *almost* won it doesn't mean anything, doesn't make me feel better about taxpayers' money spent on that, when taxes are ridiculously high. I don't like seeing a large chunk of my money forcibly taken and then wasted on such misadventures, past or present makes little difference.

Aero it was not *almost* won but the battle itself was won just like in greece and still Uncle Sam got impeached after successful operation.
