[IA] Budget cuts - Officers wanted

Day 1,878, 15:45 by Seanan

Members of the Irish Army,

The Department of Finance has created a budget following a report on the national finance situation, which showed a sharp decrease in treasury income; Our current supply has became unsustainable to the treasury, therefore I have been forced to decrease commune supply to prevent damage to Ireland's savings (at this moment in time).

The dialogue between myself and MoF has calculated that the budget will be able to sustain the proposed supply while promoting growth in the treasury.

The DoF will provide a 600 IEP / day subsidiary for Q7 weapon production - allowing a 3.8 Q7 tanks per worker (which I'm topping up to 4 Q7 tanks). Weapon Raw Material accounts for appmx. 83% of production costs of Q7 weapons, which without the subsidiary would result in only 2 Q7 tanks per worker - its costs 10 IEP for every additional Q7 weapon.

Currently, 50 members of the Irish Army work in military communes. Therefore, to increase weapon supply by 1 Q7, it would cost an extra 500 IEP per day.

Obviously, supplying the greater amount of tanks results in greater rank advancement for soldiers and more damage the government can direct, but despite the fall in treasury income, we can still pump out the damage by offering supplies to beat any private sector wage.

I am currently looking at ways to increase supply per worker, by accessing how much I can subsidize production myself, so in no way think that these supplies will stay static but any suggestions are welcome.

A new supply regime will begin on day 1879, with new supply options; as a sneak peak - Q7 tanks, Q6 tanks and IEP will become available Please use the feedback option to suggest different combinations.

I am looking for Regiment Captains, as well as, HQ staff: Mail Seanan.

Regiment Captians (4 needed)
✯ Must login twice a day minimum.
✯ Set orders according to priority given by CP, MoD and IA commander, but with enough sense to act independently if lack of instructions.
✯ Talkative and good English; weekly communication with regiment.
✯ Complete tasks given by Liaison and Logistics Officers.

Logistic Officers (2-3 needed)
✯ Keep IA Database (google spreadsheet) updated in the following topics (Each officer assigned a specific number of topics, not all of them): Regiment membership - with description checklists, Commune Worker list, Irish Army Regulars membership list and Fianna Éireann membership list.
✯ Record 'Worker presence' given by Production officers.
✯ Provide summary of production (weekly), links to commune job offers on the market etc

Liaison Officers (2 needed)
✯ Good English - clear, and precise.
✯ Keep threads between HQ Staff - Production Officers/Suppliers/Regiment Captains updated with the correct people.
✯ The time to send out individual mails on request by IA Commander or Logistic officers to any number of individuals.

Experience is not needed, just the enthusiasm and the time.
Officers are those wishing to be thrown in the deep end, and want to help keep the Army flowing with good communication and purpose.

Thank you
IA Commander

My offer still stands, as always.

1) The IA members are welcome as fair wage workers so no need to track work clicks.
2) Spend the "subsidiary" money on fair market tanks which would be 83% of the amount of tanks according to your article.
3) Those extra purchases would result in more tax revenue, which would allow a slightly greater weapon budget, which would make a dent in that 17% shortcoming
4) The IA members could spend their wages on more tanks, which would help even more toward that remaining 17%, or whatever the member wants to spend it on.
5) The IA members working for me would get the occasional bonus tanks I give to all my employees, which would probably cover the rest of that 17% and even more... thus garnering you MORE tanks per soldier than before.

I would like to be regiment captain for our lowest regiment. I can supply myself about 1500 food and 2000 WRM so we could set up an exchange deal where I supplied the regiment partially and then you supply me with all of the regiments guns + a bit more for the supplies i hand out.

Poor Boot Camp
Hope these spending cuts will mean reduced MPPs for the country. That's something I support!

Seanan Day 1,879, 02:09

@Bhane, can you provide an average of 4 tanks over a week? That's all I need to know.

@RTK, that might work. Math: 2000 WRM sold at 0.05 goes for 100 IEP which would pay for 10 Q7 tanks.

Sleep is for the weak
Sleep is for the weak Day 1,879, 02:40

You didn't saw MMF's report and apologise lately?

Investments > saving

Give more weps to people, it always pays out eventually, you'll get more people, you'll get more taxpayers, you'll get more money, you'll be able to increase supplies.

Army should be only thing one country finance. Too bad Marcus robbed country, I'm sure supplies would be a lot higher then...but hey at least CIA is getting supplied 20 q7's per day and they don't even work in communes :]

Irasian Day 1,879, 04:20

@The Psych0, just confirming that Boot camp is receiving budget cuts as well

orangejuicemmm Day 1,879, 05:50

CIA do work in communes you lying fool.

Get your facts right.

Bhane Day 1,879, 06:19

@OJ: I pay above market wages. It also depends on other factors. How often you work-click, and how long you have been working for me, and a few other factors. Some people get paid more, and some get paid less, but my current average salary is nearly 19 IEP. With market wages at 12 IEP, that is more than than 60% higher than market price.

@Seanan: I have no clue if I can average 4 or not. If things get better, I know I can far exceed that. I give out bonus tanks rather whimsically, with no set schedules or amounts. The more of a financial "cushion" I can build, the more generous I can be. So I have not given out nearly as many as I would like in the last few months. As you know, I have only been scraping by through most of the last year.

MrConway Day 1,879, 08:01

CIA works in Communes and receive 10 Q7 a day. We run it efficiently and as effective as we can.

binksy Day 1,879, 08:40

i fully support this as our finance team has been around and back again and know there stuff
if i know them as well as i think i do this is a method to allow expansion so suppy will increase again in time

good start by the finance crowd

Funny how the position of a regiment captIAn requires good english... :p

Nogin the nog
Nogin the nog Day 1,879, 09:20

Well eIreland is an english speaking country (or perceived to be), so whats so funny in wanting an english speaking captain?, likewise if ebulgaria or eslovakia wanted a captain i don't think they'd want one who only spoke english?

MrConway Day 1,879, 08:01

CIA works in Communes and receive 10 Q7 a day. We run it efficiently and as effective as we can.

10 Q7 weapons require 10 x 200 wrm to make, thats 2000 x 0.04 = 80 IEP a day for each soldier
care to explain where the CIA gets the cash to pay for the wrm?

Seanan Day 1,879, 09:45

Obviously, if the Irish Army was smaller, supplies would be larger per member - the mechanics of production are universal - any other MU using the chance to advertise their supply chain should do so knowing they can only sustain increased membership by what they are willing to donate, but to what end? Damage is a means to an end, and the IA is very unique in that sense; the principle of damage towards a national goal determined by a national consensus is brutally fair and apolitical - Political separation from Military is why we will continue even as other MUs rise and fall, so while supplies are currently lower than normal, they will increase as people smell the coffee and back this unique, and diverse, army.

I have the highest respect for MUs which look to serve eIreland in their own way, hence why I kept recruitment promotions to articles - and off other MUs articles as well as massing mailing, but in the end, what benefits eIreland, is what eIreland decides to be her goals - and there, under my watch, I guarantee the Irish Army will always represent the Nation, and no individual.

If Yddub was around he would fund BC as a priority, it's our future after all. I don't think he's be impressed with BC coming second best to the IA.

Just my take on it.

Puts the 1m theft into stark relief to those you think it was just a laugh between cheeky kunts

MrConway Day 1,879, 13:08

Nogin we self produce WRM and sell it on market to the commune holder, who then donates back our cash.

Marcus Suridius

".but hey at least CIA is getting supplied 20 q7's per day and they don't even work in communes"

CIA are working in communes, either Q7 comp or in the RM comps so kop on with your lies,

Also who in the CIA get 20 Q7's a day?

Marcus Suridius
Marcus Suridius Day 1,879, 14:07

Costs nothing for the RM's,

We are run like proper communes, all staff who have RM comps work in them each day and donate for the cause.

If we do need RM's it costs near nothing for them on iTrade

AppleMan Day 1,879, 15:08

@D&T - We're really working on equal funding for BC. Yddub's legacy is the reason that we can afford these supplies at all. Without that we'd get much less.

@Psych0 - Army funding is our top priority. If we continue spending money like we have been there will be no more funding because we deplete the treasury completely. Also, The economy is even worse than it was last month.

Raven Anarcho
Raven Anarcho Day 1,879, 16:12

this suuucks.

Marcus Suridius
Marcus Suridius Day 1,879, 17:59

Also wanted to say about the reduction in IA supplies, the soldiers who may be disappointed.

This wont be permanent, give it a few months and once the state funds are back up, im sure the budget will be for supplies will be increased.

Damhnaic Day 1,879, 18:08

Problem is that, with the current economy, it is nearly impossible to make substantial profit with the monetary market

Marcus Suridius
Marcus Suridius Day 1,880, 07:44

@ MUFC - So no response to me asking were you got the figure of us giving out 20 Q7's and people not working in the communes. Suppose nothing new, you love to lie about everything.

Uljanov Day 1,880, 08:36

Fck we would benefit of the 1 000 000 stolen by Marcus..

Bhane Day 1,880, 10:31

Appleman, the bank has TONS of orgs at their disposal which are not limited by the 10g limitation. If I was you i would stagger your bids. That lets you react quickly, and get a much faster turnover on transactions. According to the wiki, the offer you post on the monetary market will automatically be erased after 10 days (240 hours)

Let's say you have 200k cc and 20 orgs.
Post a bid of 10k from the orgs at 12 hour intervals.
That will evenly spread 20 bids across the 240 hour wait you have until your bid reaches the front page
As the bids come due (twice a day) you take the gold earned, post the market rate for quick transactions to get your currency plus the "spread" profit.
Re-post the currency on the market to maintain the intervals as the cycle continues.
You will take advantage of whatever the "spread" is at the time.
Whether the spread is large or small, you will increase transaction turnover rates.
You remove the guess work of trying to predict the market 10 days down the road when your bid reaches the front page.
You are able to move and react with the market, rather than fighting it.

The bank has a huge advantage no player has... use that advantage.

mirek12345 Day 1,880, 10:44

I said funny because the article says ''captian'' instead of ''captain'' :p
