[Huey George] Update #7 from 10 Downing Street - October 2014
10 Downing Street
Intoduction
A brief update...and sadly maybe my last.
Our war with Canada and Impeachment Law Proposal
I'll start with some good news our forces have secured Northern Ireland against the Canadians and we have regained the initiative. I have also agreed to the end of the war between the United Kingdom and Canada pending our Congressional sign off. There will be no concessions, just a end of hostility offered by the Canadians as they have no interest in continuing to battle us for our regions and hopefully accepted by our Congressional Representatives. I feel most citizens of the UK would like the resources bonuses back our core regions provide as soon as possible. The terms are/should be Canada did not used COs in Northern Ireland and Canada will also not interfere with any of our Resistance Wars.
Canada have also stated that they are also willing to continue the war if we are however I have strongly advised Congress we end this war with Canada as the funds in the treasury could be better spent elsewhere or saved for future wars, our allies are also committed elsewhere (one could argue we should be supporting our allies more) and it will also guarantee our resource bonuses are restored as soon as possible
On to my proposed impeachment as it's strongly linked with the above. It was put forward by KieranB
"Right was waiting for new congress for this but I think an impeachment is due.
We are getting wiped no help from allies and we still went ahead with a training war that sucked up needed damage.
Wayne successfully fought multiple fronts on his term so we know it can be done I personally think Huey is a nice guy just not a wartime cp"
My response
"I shared the decision to hold a training war with Belgium and supported the Albanian Airstrike with a ground offensive against Canada with Congress. I'm not sure the Country President should take absolute responsibility as I'm a big fan of 'Congress' being just as empowered as the CP however I was closely involved with the planning of both so in a sense I was in the best place to 'stop us'.
I stand by the assertion that the United Kingdom can fight a war on one front while maintain a TW with Belgium however I respect those members of Congress if they feel this is not something the UK has the ability to handle even if I disagree with it.
I have obtained bits and pieces of allied support however yes I've hadn't gained the allied support we had when we fought of multiple enemies although I didn't have the same set of allies sharing common borders with our enemies at the time. I've also spent a fair bit less on COs so far. However yes maybe I could have gained the support of more allies to help us defend the UK."
I'd be bitterly disappointed to be impeached as I handled a difficult situation not exactly of my own choosing as best as could be in my humble opinion and as the next 9 days should be a relatively straight-forward regain of our regions because of motions already in place.
However I hold Congress, KieranB and WayneKerr in the highest regard and respect. I have also prided myself on putting all the citizens of the United Kingdom first, my fairness and attempted understanding not only to friends, or those who share similar view points to my own however to every UK citizens even those I disagree with at times. My ego takes second place to what is best for the UK so in this sense I will respect and co-operate with the ultimate decision of Congress and ensure a smooth handover to Wayne if it comes to it. Additionally apart from my own vote...I don't have much of a say in the matter.
Also on a lighter note the UK had their chance to "vote for Wayne" and the tremendously talented Wayne could easily find himself re-elected next month.
Our training war with Belgium
Our training war with Belguim has proceeded as planned and as agreed we've returned Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia to our friends in Belgium. This exercise has cemented friendships and proven the United Kingdom can be an excellent Training War partner in my opinion and with only the minimalist of effort 4 battles and 3 resistance wars. Thanks to everyone in the UK who took part in this very successful exercise.
Law Proposals
- Mutual Protection Pacts
Spain
Discussions with my cabinet and Congressional consultation has resulted in a straight-forward renewed of our MPP with our fellow Sirius Alliance Member Spain.
Bulgaria
I have held discussions with my cabinet and had diplomatic talks with my presidential counterparts and now our new members of Congress have taken their seats they are in the process of being consulted with to hopefully ratify the straight forward MPP renewal of Bulgaria (Our Long-term ally and friend).
Close
Again I'd like to end by saying don't hesitate to drop me a message if you have a request of me. I may not be able to guarantee a swift reply at times however I'd like to address any concerns or queries you may have.
Thanks for reading

What has Neil done so far in your Cabinet?
Still no reply....
Sorry, I'm afraid I'm not sure there is any answer I can give which would make you change your mind about Neil as MoHA...
Question is simple: What has Neil done so far in the Cabinet?

The impeachment would have come regardless of your and the eUK's performance...
Seems to me we discussed and voted for the training war in Congress.... so for certain congresspersons to turn around and try to impeach you is disingenuous at best, downright snarky at worst...
As for SerF's remark above, Neil started off by being extremely hostile to the elected Speaker, to the point where the Speaker left not only the job but also the eUK. He may have come from Serbia, back when Serbia was the eUK's best friend, but he was a hard worker for the eUK. I was disgusted by the comments Neil made - to the point where I finally reported him for insults and vulgarity. I hope he was banned... but I doubt we'd all be that lucky!
Seems to me that not every one voted for the training war and when Canada started winning all the battles common sense would have said, hey lets prospone this training war as we have an actual real one that we are clearly not winning and we need all the damage we can get.
We had to send damage form Canadian battles to stop Belgium taking our southern regions or we could have ended up wiped just before congress elections.
Common sense also says that after you had canceled the training war you would have then went cap in had to HQ and asked for some assistance in dealing with the aggressors, I noticed a distinct lack of allied support.
So call it disingenuous or snarky I don't really care this wasn't personal against Huey he is an extremely nice and fair guy and if we didnt loose the war his term would have been great.
The snarkiness wasn't against Huey...
Neil is a nice guy, but I was genuinely shocked by some of the stuff that Neil said to him.
But by no means does that make Neil a poor choice for a cabinet member.
I have yet to see the nice side of Neil. It would be a pleasant change.
Pointless impeachment is pointless, everything seems to be in hand.

EPIC week was a bad week for our war when we cannot get our battles to EPIC status.
Until next time o7
"The terms are/should be Canada did not used COs in Northern Ireland..."
Big apology from me personally. I was not aware of the arrangements and, thinking the war was still in place, I placed CO's in Div 2 & 3 toward the end of the first round and into the second. They were not much, just 4000 cc I had laying around in the MU already. When I became aware they were already spent.
I think I found the problem, Huey. You go to Congress for advice instead of demanding their unconditional cooperation with your rule 😉
Only a certain few of us can get away with that approach. eUK don't work that way.
